You can, but there's no need to do that.
 
ok Aura, :thumbsup2: It seems working.

Out of 66 updates, it updated one of them - KB3000850 successfully. Previously, it failed updating this one several times.
I just did the mandatory restart after this update.
Let me go through the rest of the updates and then I will update you with the status. :grin1:

DISM - Fixing Component Store Corruption
Follow the instructions below to run a DISM scan on your system:
  • On Windows 8, drag your cursor in the bottom-left corner, and right-click on the metro menu preview, then select Command Prompt (Admin);
  • On Windows 8.1, right click on the Windows logo in the bottom-left corner and select Command Prompt (Admin);
  • Enter the command DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and press on Enter;
  • Let the scan run until the end (100%);
  • Copy the C:\Windows\Logs\DISM folder and C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log file on your Desktop, then right-click on it, go to Send to... and select Compressed .zip archive;
  • Upload the file on Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive and post the download URL for it here;
 
Neither the DISM or CBS logs shows anything wrong. Try to install the updates once again please. If the installation fails, please upload and send me the two following files:
  • C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log
  • C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
 
May I ask you to check your date and time on Windows and make sure they are correct? Also, are you in the right timezone?

    Run as Administrator;
  • Check the following options:
    • Flush DNS;
    • Report IE Proxy Settings;

    • Report FF Proxy Settings;
    • Reset FF Proxy Settings;
    • List content of Hosts;
    • List IP Configuration;
    • List Last 10 Event Viewer Errors;
    • List Installed Programs;
    • List Devices - Only Problems;
    • List Users, Partitions and Memory size;

  • Once this is done, click on Go and wait for the scan to complete;
  • Once the scan is complete, a log will open. Please copy/paste the content of the output log in your next reply;

Something is blocking the Windows Updates from being downloaded. Are you currently running Windows Defender with Windows Firewall?
 
I m not using win defender.
Antivirus software is ESET Endpoint security, which also manages firewall.
 
Can you disable ESET temporarily (all layers of protections), then try to install the updates again?
 
You aren't using any kind of proxy or VPN, right? Is it possible to connect via an Ethernet cable (wired connection) and see if the updates download and install from there?
 
yes, I am using VPN, from the employer.
Tomorrow, I will try it from the Ethernet connection + disabling ESET.

Or Should I download them manually?
 
Is that computer located on a domain with a domain controller or not (at your house for example)?
