Windows update errors

It is at work only. I asked for the solution of this windows update problem to my IT team, but they don't know.
i don't know what is the meaning of domain controller.

Is your IT Team aware that you are getting help online on Sysnative for your issue? Also, it looks like there's an issue with your Office 2013 licence, just so you know.

Code:
Error: (07/24/2015 12:28:51 AM) (Source: MsiInstaller) (User: NISHANT)
Description: Product: Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 -- Error 25004. The product key you entered cannot be used on this machine. This is most likely due to previous Office 2013 trials being installed. (System error: -1073422314)

I think I will ask my IT team to restore the Windows 8.1.

Running DISM.exe --> there is error --> dism log here --> https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B28O6t-kpgfsdTVMaXVUREJZUkE/view?usp=sharing

The source files could not be downloaded.
Use the "source" option to specify the location of the files that are required t
o restore the feature. For more information on specifying a source location, see
Configure a Windows Repair Source.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log

C:\Windows\system32>

I cannot see anything useful in the DISM log sadly. When you run DISM and it fails, it's more helpful to get a CBS.log (even thought it says that the DISM log can be found in DISM.log). Let me know what you choose to do :)

Can you ask your IT team if they are using a SCCM or WSUS servers to distribute the Windows Updates? Or are all the computers on the domain set to get them directly from Microsoft?

Ok I'll ask them tomorrow.
I've installed previous updates by myself. All ms office updates are installed with any error.

You installed them manually by downloading from Microsoft's Download Center website?

No.i meant they were installed automatically. I just clicked install updates. They were downloaded by the windows update.

Later when this error occurred, I was thinking download them manually from Microsoft download center, but that's tedious job so I didn't do.

It's fine to install updates manually when you have 4-5 but when you have a lot, it becomes harder. However, I wouldn't mind if you were to try to install 1-2 manually and if they fail, to send me the C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log and C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log, maybe I could identify the cause of why they are failing (other that than can't be downloaded).

I downloaded a couple of updates from the Microsoft download center and they are installed successfully.

Alright. It means that the issue is with the connection to the Windows Updates servers. Without any additional information from your IT team concerning your setup, I cannot really assist you with that. I don't know if you are supposed to grab these updates from Microsoft, WSUS, SCCM, etc. For instance, at my job we were getting updates pushed by our Sysnative via WSUS until 3 months ago, where they are now delivered via SCCM.

Ok. I will discuss with my IT team whenever they are free/available for this issue.
I appreciate the time you have spent to help me. I would not be able to return the same right now, not at least in the field of IT/Computer :)
Do PM me if you need any other help/discussion.

Thanks again.

No problem pascal, you're welcome :) Also, let me know if they manage to solve the issue or not!

pascal, when you go in your Windows Update panel, how many updates are left to install? How many Important and how many Recommended?

Hi Aura,
47 Important updates - All Windows 8.1 updates = some are for .NET framework 3.5, 4.5.1 and 4.5.2 + some security updates and rest Updates for Windows 8.1 for x64-based systems...
12 Optional updates (1 Silverlight, 1 Skype-which I don't use and rest 10 Windows 8.1)

Do you guys use SCCM and WSUS for the updates, or not? Also, I looked up these 3 updates: one of them is related to compatibility with media devices files, the two others are mostly updates for the Windows 10 upgrade.
