[SOLVED] Windows Update failing since September 2018 on two computers

OK. I tried & went to same place C:\Windows\Logs\CBS, find CheckSUR.log. to find the file, but it did not update from that attempt. The file is exactly the same as above.

I don't need that any longer. I needed to check something. I need CBS.log if the update fails.

Copy it to the Desktop and then zip it, and upload.

Oh, I can't copy that file or move it, or open it. Permission denied.

That is really strange. Are you sure you are not trying to zip it right there in the logs folder?

Send zipped file to desktop results in the above.
Send to desktop sends a shortcut only. Try to open it & get same error.

It does not look like you have copied the file after a failed update attempt. Could you please attempt updates again and then provide CBS.log.

Copy it to your Desktop.
Zip it up and upload it somewhere.
