If this is for posting current (9/2015...) I am having some trouble w/my computer that I believe originated from the sneaky windows 10 updates for the purpose, I guess, of advertising its arrival + reserve your copy by Microsoft.
Well, i deleted a series of updates concerning the Win. 10 that has been online in quite a few sites by now, for the purposes of getting rid of any mention of windows 10 and still yet, if the problems persist, i'll likely have to reinstall windows 7. But I wondered for the sake of not having to repeat encountering the 10 windows all over again, if there's any recommendation or knowledge in this regard, so as to not have to be on guard 24 hours in order to get the real updates. t
Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated, as to whether or not to re-install OS, and if for any info. that might be useful. I'm not the only one that isn't interested in win. 10 and don't feel that I need to quickly up from 7 to their next versions even though that seems to be the technological trend. But not all of us are that excited especially for phones, let's not leave that out the next newest one. Gotta have that so i don't look up where I'm going.

Hi joe2day :)

From what I understand, you want to reinstall Windows 7, and take measures so the Windows 10 upgrade doesn't get pushed on your new installation, is that right? Or do you want to work on fixing your current issues?

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your reply. I would really like to work with what I got, and thus far, I have been able finally, to copy my cbs.log file to the desktop that is largely 1 file (too) and I named it in Notepad, but check it out, I didn't see that it actually opened in two different notepad docs. So I named them cbs1 and cbs2.

Prior to that, I continuously looked for how to gain access to open cbs log and found a copy method today, and used and worked and put it to the desktop. So, that's as far as what I can tell about the one file it copied and if that's a good start?

Since I'm not interested in windows 10, obviously, from my thread, here, but in deletion of those listed files that pertain to win. 10, I think that that's where the scannow tests failed, perhaps. The computer functions fine with no real loss of noticeable operation, but I have this rest-easy feeling if I know I'm 100% integrity passing. :)

So, with that, I would welcome what you might be able to provide in the way of if you want to take a look at those notepad copied cbs log, I can forward them here or however and just wait for your next reply. Thanks and i'll check periodically. Sunday right now, so I have the rest of the day and will again tomorrow after work and go from there. Thanks.

Note: Please note that the CBS.log is volatile, which means that if you don't upload it after the SFC scan is completed, it won't have the information from the scan anymore. So archive it and upload it as soon as you can.

Sometimes the simplist things aren't simple. I have the dropbox downloaded and it's sitting there with the file in it and I don't know how to direct it. Do I put it to this website, or your email?
I probably will have to run this scannnow all over again because of this program that took the longest time to download and it's just ... how do I send it please?
Sorry for the....this has been a heck of a wknd. on computer.

Simply right-click on the file in your Dropbox folder and select Share Dropbox link. It'll be saved in your clipboard and you can simple paste it here.

I got a flag right away from AVirus indicating to stop and I tried twice, as it has malware in it so the alert warned. I hit the first Sfix in the body of the email. Then I saw the one under it that says sfix.zip?
I'm not sure, I just wanted tell you that.

You need to download and use both SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.txt. You move both of these files on your Desktop, then you drag the SFCFix.txt file on top of the SFCFix.exe executable. If your Antivirus is getting in the way, please disable it. SFCFix is perfectly safe to use and doesn't contain any malware, it's a false positive from your Antivirus.

Aura,
Thanks for the info. on the false positive in connection with my alert from AVirus (yesterday).
Today's been long and I'm going to have to postpone until tomorrow night, to begin on the SFCfix. Sorry about that and I don't want to hold you up, as I appreciate your helping me in this regard, really. So, with all due respect, I will be ready to delve in tomorrow and hope you will be able to be around when I can forward the findings from SFC tomorrow. Take care,
Joe

All good joe no worries about that :) You can reply at your own pace :)

Hello Aura,
I'm still interested in getting computer fixed. I'm now waiting for the antivirus help people if they will, email me back to see how I can bypass the false positive. I DON'T want to be online without protection I can't stand it. And I don't know how to get them the 2 downloaded scan fix so they can then tell me how I can put it in trust.
Geez is there no other way and why does it insist that it is a Trojan. It's the 360 Total Security Antivirus and I think it's better than Microsoft essentials being that I had an ongoing Exploit problem until I got rid of that antirvius.
