Hi BigJonTPA :)

My name is Aura and I'll be assisting you with your issue. Here's the error reported by CheckSUR (notice that the error code matches the one you receive when trying to install Windows Updates).
Code:
(f)	CBS Registry Error	0x8007000D	Package_117_for_KB3045999~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.1.Trigger_1 Enumerating child package failed, index: 40
I'll be putting a fix together tonight when I get home.

Alright follow the instructions below please.

Aura,

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for not responding sooner, I've been fighting other battles on another front and did not see your reply until tonight. I appreciate your assistance.

Here is the dropbox link:

Look forward to your reply.

You saved the file as a .reg file, I need it as a Registry Hive file (which means, without any extension). Please read the instructions above carefully, and try again :)

Let's try this again.... I think the .reg file may have been in that folder from a previous effort to repair my issue with another site- which went nowhere. I have cleaned out that file folder and have placed only the file you have requested- without any file extensions. I believe this is what you need.

Thanks again for your assistance.

Good :) Let's see if SURT still report the same error now that the update is installed.

In the middle of a fairly heavy video render right now. Once that's done and my computer is ready, I'll follow your instructions and report back. Thanks!

Looks like we still have the same problem... :banghead: here is the CheckSur log as requested.

Now that the update is installed, I should be able to find what's causing it in the CBS Hive, so please upload a new copy for me.

Despite the fact that I did, indeed install the update per your instructions last week, the pop-up box states "The update KB3045999 is not installed on this computer."

I saw a really cool Mac Pro last week.

Thanks,
