Hello
That's my first thread on Sysnative. Please, be indulgent with my English and my computer knowledge...
Since the beginning of March, my PC refuses to update.
The KB3172725, KB2962409, KB3068708, KB3184143 and KB4010240 constantly fail to install. With the following error code : 80070bc9.
I ran sfc /scannow that said that I had some errors left (e.g. : Cannot repair member file [l:36{18}]"Amd64\CNBJ2530.DPB" of prncacla.inf, Version = 6.3.9600.17415, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9) ) and also SFCFix "FIXED: Performed DISM repair on file Amd64\CNBJ2530.DPB of version 6.3.9600.17415."
But it did not resolve anything !

I would be very grateful If you could help me fixing that uptade issue.
Regards
bedeka

Hello BrianDrab,
thank you for wellcoming me and for answering my request. Yes I still do need your assistance !

Please start with the following.

Step#1 - SFCFix Script
Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop. If you still have this on your desktop from downloading previously, you don't need to re-download.
  2. Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
  5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please

Hi BrianDrab
Here is the new Fixlog.txt obtained under Safe Mode.
When I restarted my PC, it took about 6 minutes to Windows to "prepare itself".

Please do the following.

Step#1 - Capture Process Monitor Trace
1. Download and run Process Monitor. Leave this running while you perform the next steps.
2. Open an elevated Command Prompt and run Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (details on how to do this are below if you need it)
3. Stop Process Monitor as soon as DISM fails or completes. You can simply do this by clicking the magnifying glass on the toolbar as shown below.

4. Select the File menu...Save... and save the file to your desktop. This is likely the default location. The name (unless changed) will be LogFile.PML. This is fine.
5. Zip up and attach the LogFile.PML file as well as your CBS.log.

Instructions on how to run DISM (if needed)

  1. Right-click on the Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin)
  2. When command prompt opens, Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Right-click > Paste) the following command into it, then press Enter
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  3. Once it finishes, copy and paste the following into the command-prompt window and press Enter. If prompted to overwrite the existing file go ahead.
    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  4. Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Please zip/upload to this thread.
Please Note:: if the file is too big (over 7MB) to upload to your next post, please upload via a service such as Dropbox or One Drive or SendSpace and just provide the link.

Dear BrianDrab
Thanks a lot for your time.
I've processed to the capture of the Process Monitor Trace.
Here is the link to Wetransfer because the file, even zipped, is still huge (235 Mo) !
https://wetransfer.com/downloads/e5aa4d263a1dedeb95b58a23d5fbfbaa20170414075901/3b0ddc27974747dafdedc26b4d64765b20170414075901/f9b249

And I ran DISM as you asked me to do (see the CBS.txt attached below).
Apparently, DISM failled with an 3017 error. It asked me to reboot my PC.
