Hi, I had a problem last year which got solved but KB4022719 has now failed to install , unit is Windows 7 sp1 x86 , the earlier May update installed fine and has been updating fine since September after fix . No surt errors listed or sfc errors . I tried downloading stand alone version and it still failed. I have also found it will not clean system files using disk cleanup . Any ideas?

As this thread has not been picked up yet I found KB4022168 also fails to install in stand alone mode and in windows update downloads to about 9% then errors 80073712 mid download does not even attempt to install. NO surt errors or sfx error CBS log attached

I have reset windows update ,it updates office fine , silverlight and the May updates just the June update KB4022719 and its update KB4022168 which fail. In stand alone mode it starts to install gets up to about third away along the install bar then fails and restores .

You don't want to install KB4022168 that is a preview of next month's update. Think of it as a beta and avoid. There are enough problems with the Patch Tuesday updates so you don't need to be a beta tester for July's patch, which is what KB4022168 is.

Hopefully BrianDrab will weigh in on this thread. If he doesn't respond by Monday, post here

and point to this thread.

I wont do anything till I hear from someone . Brian sorted out the problem last time so I am sure it wont be a major problem this time. Thanks

Solution found: before deploying KB4022719 manually uninstall "early versions" of this "quality and security" update: patches KB4019264 and/or KB4019265 (if present). It worked well by me.

Hi, will try your solution later tonight, cbs log is showing sxs winners entry is missing ,so may need help afterall.
Regards

Both files are not listed in installed updates so could not uninstall , will have to wait for help

I had the same issue, was looking for help everywhere.
Thanks to patrisko idea, I have just fixed my computer.
RalphG, just go one step further.
Don't check just 2 patches that Patrisko mentioned.
I have uninstalled all Security updates from April and later (as my first failed Rollup was on May, then June and July).
After restart, I've installed the latest Rollup again, now successfully.
Again, thanks to Patrisko

how many updates did you install? i started having this problem after about 50 were installed on 2/23/17.

Found kb4019265 hiding at the bottom of the installed list, just spent 1.5 hours uninstalling the update, now clearing any security updates after the May roll up and will see if the June roll up will install .

uninstalled files recommended , no change KB4022719 still fails to install , hopefully Brian will pick this up as he sorted my problem last time
