[SOLVED] 0xc1900101 - 0x30018 installation failed at FIRST_BOOT phase with a error during SYSPREP_SPECIALIZE

Hi,

The problem with cloning is you bring all the corruptions over from the source to the new drive. And the missing Recovery Partition is not the only problem. The biggest problem is the amount of driver issues. That said I would perform a clean install, you can do that as described in post #114. So that you can use the old installation as well.

So I took you advice and did a fresh install of windows 10 on the new drive.

Then I used
EaseUS Todo PCTrans
to backup my installed applications and then restored them on the new drive it worked great. I only had to reinstall a couple of programs everything else was there and working! thanks for all the help we can close this thread.

Hi,

I'm not familiar with that tool, but glad to hear it worked to transfer the programs to your new installation. (y)
I'll mark this thread as solved!
