[SOLVED] 64 bit applications not starting after MS or Firefox update

Great news! :)
I'm pretty sure, that everything should now work just fine. You can revert the Path variable to it's previous value, which was (from your first dump)

d:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6\Programs64\;C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD APP\bin\x86_64;C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD APP\bin\x86;C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Intel\Shared Files\cpp\bin\Intel64;C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\ArcSoft\Bin;C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live;C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live;C:\Windows\system32;C:\Windows;C:\Windows\System32\Wbem;C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Toshiba\Bluetooth Toshiba Stack\sys\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Toshiba\Bluetooth Toshiba Stack\sys\x64\;C:\Program Files (x86)\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static;C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Shared;C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\SnapAPI\;C:\Program Files (x86)\X-Rite\Devices\Services;C:\Program Files (x86)\X-Rite\Devices\Lib;d:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static;C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome\;D:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTSystem\;C:\Program Files (x86)\ATI.ACE\Core-Static

You can safely use the windows updates to patch the crt libs to its newest versions. And no, you don't have to send the file again :)
If you need any further assistance, simply ask the questions and I'll try to do my best.

I think windows "heals" the path env. variable as soon as you exit the cmd line. The order is somewhat dirrerent, not much though, and everything is there. I cut and pasted it into a text file) before I cleared it, but it looks like everything is there. I installed Bit Defender, and it went without a hitch. Also the Adobe creative suites and Lightroom upgraded themselves as soon as they were able to run, and added a few paths to the composite path. By default, major upgrades to Adobe products install to new directories, which is kinda nice, cause if they are buggy the more stable version is still up and running.

I have far too much software on this single computer. I've ofter wished there were a way to run 2 installs of windows on 2 different drives. One to have only actually used productivity software, probably no more than 12 to 15 applications, and another one like mine with literally hundreds of installed applications, all legal and registered, but they really bog down the computer. My machine is a fairly fast water cooled intel box, with 24G of memory and over 20TB internal and external storage, and 2 SSD's. I am just curious, and if a software looks interesting, I'll probably buy and install t.

Thanks again
