Re: many corrupt files found on sfc /scannow
Hey PeterJ I have tried to uninstall the kb 4041686 to no avail I even tried the command prompt today wusa /uninstall /kb:4041686 and a error pops up saying the component store has been corrupt 0x80073712. I also noticed that the update for October -10 preview of monthly rollup is kb:40401681 which I don't have . the october 17 , 2017 monthly rollup is kb4041686. number #59 of this thread the requested uninstall is for October 10 (kb4041681) and not October 17 (kb4041686). Also looking into the kb4041681 that update was to be for fixing the problem that I have with the corrupt file. October -10 rollup kb4041681 Addressed issue where USBHUB.SYS randomly causes memory corruption that results in random system crashes that are extremely difficult to diagnose. I am just trying to help trouble shoot and solve the problem I know that you are very studious in your work.
