[SOLVED] [7SP1Ult x64] updates show in update history but do not show in installed updates

I installed Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8. Everything seems to be fine, but there is still one update error, which I am attaching.
The failure is the result of this action "User cancelled Installation".

Hi Peter.
The error seems to have been corrected. I send an attachment.
Long-standing bug problem (87). "dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth". See attachment. To fix the error, I found the answer on the Internet that you need to install update: "windows6.1-kb2966583-x64_c9d3315b35f55a10237994c77ceb86842881761c.msu", which is not installed. Watch the app. I take all updates from Microsoft Catalog.

Sorry for the addition!

For some reason, there is a problem due to updates, which I take from the catalog, and which come with Windows Update, the problems have been fixed.

... the problems have been fixed.
If I understand correctly we can mark this thread as solved ?

Hi Peter.

As I understand it, you can’t or don’t want to help me with dozens of updates that download from the Microsoft directory and are not installed due to the error: "the update is not applicable to your computer" or "Only one instance of wusa.exe is allowed to run ". Maybe I can contact sysnative threats for help on a new one. You help me a lot. After all, I went through the entire Internet, and did not find the answer to these questions-errors.

Hi!

That's not an error.
That's not a bug.
The following dism commands will not work in windows 7, because they were introduced in windows 8:
Code:
dism /online /cleanup-image /CheckHealth
dism /online /cleanup-image /ScanHealth
dism /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth
If you want to fix this bug, you must install at least windows 8 (defunct OS), or 8.1 (defunct OS), or 10 (dying OS: 2025/10/14), or 11 (newborn OS).

Absolutely not. I'm still with you in this thread. It is just a misunderstanding.
As xilolee already reported and as shown in the screenshot you provided the dism option /checkhealth is not supported in Windows 7.

To have a clear picture tell me which Windows Updates still failed to install ?

Hi Peter.

On one hand I agree with 'xilolee' (/checkhealth) and (/RestoreHealth) applies on other Windows, but only on Win7 does (/scanhealth) apply. I'm sending proof of this.
About the update installation. I repeat again. Those updates that come in "windows imortant updates", they install. Those downloading from Microsoft Catalog, I attach below:

"the update is not applicable to your computer": kb3020369, kb2966583-x64, KB3020369....

"Only one instance of wusa,exe is allowed to run": kb5022339-x64, kb5022338-x64, kb4523206-x64, kb4516065-x64, KB3138612, kb3125574-v4-x64, KB2990214-x64, KB3020369, KB3172605.....

kb3020369 is an old Servicing Stack Update only from May 2015. The Servicing Stack Update on your machine is from February 2022 so there is need to install kb3020369.

Perform the instructions below only.
Restart the machine.
Install Update with DISM
  1. Download the update MSU here: https://catalog.s.download.windowsu..._c9d3315b35f55a10237994c77ceb86842881761c.msu
  2. Copy the MSU file to a convenient location (such as C:\temp).
  3. Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  4. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  5. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

    cd C:\temp
replace C:\temp with your path if different

    expand windows6.1-kb2966583-x64_c9d3315b35f55a10237994c77ceb86842881761c.msu -f:* C:\temp

    DISM.exe /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:C:\temp\windows6.1-kb2966583-x64.cab

  6. You should receive the message:
    The operation completed successfully.
Make sure to allow the computer to restart if prompted.
  7. If you receive any other message:
Post a screenshot of the Commandprompt window.
Zip and attach the file C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

Hi Peter.

Great, got it all. Thanks, which is what was required. I have tried this system before. But nothing worked. Apparently upgrade win7 from the flag and installing .NET 4.8 helped. Now I tried several installations, everything works. I'm only concerned about this question: at one time some updates "the update is not applicable to your computer", another time "Only one instance of wusa.exe is allowed to run" It's not clear.

The first message can appear when you try to install an x86 update on a x64 machine or vice-versa, or if an update is no longer needed because a newer/replacement update is already installed.
The second message can only appear if you to install several updates manually at the same time.

Hi Peter.
Thank you very much for the work you have done.
It is inconvenient for me to contact you on two more questions. They are not related to updates. If you can help, if you don't want to get involved then sorry.
First: after installing NET 4.8, its place in Turn Windows Features On or Off is not marked, there is only net 3.5.1, which is not in the Program and Features panel and in computer (did not look at the register). I did not receive an answer to this question on the Internet.
Secondly: I was stunned when I saw system32_script with locks and their number. There are zero marks (mb).
I'm afraid to touch it. I tried to remove one, got the answer: 'The action can't completed becouse the file is open in system" If it's not difficult, what would you advise to do.

This is normal. Nothing to worry about.

If you mean some files in the screenshots in attachment "New folder (19).zip", this is normal too.
If not, please provide a screenshot.

Hi Peter.

I looked through all the data and the desire to change something passed. Do you think you need to remove ".NET Framework v1.0, v2.0, v3.0 from the system or leave it.
Something can be done with "Turn Win Features on or off" because only one v3.5.1 is present here and it is nowhere else. For some reason, v4.0 and v4.8 are not displayed. NET 4.8 I downloaded from Download .NET Framework 4.8 | Free official downloads. If nothing can be done, then leave it.

Question: Was .NET v4.8 installed manually or during the installation of another program that requires .NET v4.8 ?

Did you need this particular .NET version ?
If not you might try to uninstall it, reboot the machine and try to install KB982670 again.

Hi Peter.
I was away so I couldn't answer.
Failed to install ,NET 4.0. I tried to install with v 4.8, it was denied that there is a newer software. Then completely removed v4.8. but only KB was installed.
