Banned from z3r010's sites

Better than mine...

Ban reason: As requested.

I got a good laugh out of it though... I had maybe 20 posts at SF...
My SF ban reason is also 'As Requested' All this just for being a member of another forum. Sheesh, what's the world come to?

To John and the other admins, I'd just like to share my opinion regarding the matter of banning z3r10 from Sysnative. If he is already banned, that's fine but if not then I think you should leave them be for the time being. Just to show that things are done a little differently around here (i.e. people aren't banned for no reason).

I wonder how long z3r0 is going to let you stay at SF Jaidyn? At the rate he's going, it won't be long. You don't deserve to be banned though, as much as everyone else.

Why would we ban him? He has done nothing wrong here so it would be without warrant.

He does not have an account here although he visits frequently as a guest.

I wonder if/when he will stop...

Stephen, I am very sorry to see that you were removed without any notice. :(

I know why I was removed. I at least made my own choice. All these bans for no apparent reason or at least with no reason provided seem incredibly petty to me.
I know. When I'm feeling slightly more stable tomorrow, I'll speak with you.

Alright Stephen, I understand. Know that you have a lot of support and friends here. If you want a more private discussion, PMs or e-mail are always available, too. I did see your PM, but I wanted to respond here since you spoke of breaking stuff. Please don't break anything valuable, including and especially not any parts of yourself. Stay safe, and try to find something fun that helps you relax to do. :)

As Laxer said, there is no reason to ban him. That is not what this forum is about. He joined some time ago but never posted: https://www.sysnative.com/forums/member.php/163-z3r010

Geesh! Not sure I should voice my opinion or not. Am I next just because I posted to this thread? Guess we'll find out in due time.

@Tekno Venus:

Don't let them get the best of you. In my travels I have found that those who are not happy with themselves like to make others miserable for personal satisfaction. I personally will not bow down to that type of behavior. No one rains on my sunny disposition.

C'est la vie, etc., etc.!

I know. Easier said than done. Every one of you put your heart and soul into the free help you provided to the members and every one of you deserve much more credit for making those forums what they are.

I tried not to get involved with what's going on. It's not fair what happens to Ken, Jan, J.C., Corrine and all the members that got banned. The reason which I decided to right is because I saw a comment about my app made by Wrench97 that really made me sad. Some of them might know this already but the day I started posting in forums Ken was helping me and supporting me which I came a long way now. He has been my mentor for all these years. Ken, John and J.C. helped me a lot with BSOD analysis I respect them too much to steal any code. In fact they helped me through out the alpha and beta testing providing me feedback and suggestions to improve. I could never have done without them. I told Ken before I tried not get involved in this forum politics. I hate to choose sides I sure hope everything get resolved soon because the members who got banned are the best and brightest in their field of expertise. Maybe they just don't know what they will be missing out the BSOD traffic started at SF after Ken, usasma and J.C. started helping more and more thread.

Thanks,
Shyam

John has gone mad. I've been kicked out now!! Excuse me whilst I go and break something.....

All I wanted to do was help people. It's all been wasted...

I am sorry to hear this... very unfair indeed.

As Geoff & Corrine said... NO - I never even entertained the notion of banning z3r010 -

https://www.sysnative.com/forums/member.php/163-z3r010

I would never ban anyone for speaking their mind - pro or con, for asking questions, questioning policy, etc... that's not who I am.

While Admin, Manager & Mod at TSF for 4.5 years, the only users I ever banned were full-fledged spammers - you know, the ones that post huge ads, porn, etc... I was likely the most lenient of all "purples" and always tried to settle disputes with unruly OPs via PM rather than issuing warnings and infractions.

I certainly would NEVER send a user-report generated warning notice or infraction to a Staff Member or long time member... doing so defies logic and solves nothing. A friendly PM goes a long way and usually remedied all.

Hello, everyone!

I joined today BECAUSE I was surfing around and came across this situation elsewhere and followed it here (which I didn't know existed before) and saw what happened and having experienced life "over there", I can say that while more extreme than I've seen there before, it did bring back memories and I wanted to express my condolences to those who have been so badly treated "over there".

I hope that this does not affect anyone who was a prolific poster there and counting on that history for MVP/MCC renewals (and don't know if anything can be done after the fact to resolve things if it is a factor) before the losses can be covered from this point forward here and/or elsewhere.

I fully empathize with this because use of PM info which wasn't as private as I thought (or think it should be) was behind my own issues "over there" quite some time ago. I prefer my present environment by far and hope to build one here but more in keeping with my Consumer Security MVP rather than BSOD even if the latter is intriguing and I may drift a bit as I know a little and always love to learn more - but we'll see.

In any case, I'm pleased that things turned out and that I found my way here. I must say it's nice to be reviewing a forum that has so many of the features I've been missing (and hope it doesn't spoil me too much - LOL!).

To those I know, good to see y'all again (or still). To those I don't yet know, I look forward to meeting and working together at some point.

Sorry for drifting a bit off-topic from this issue to say hello, but my primary point was to express support for the sentiments I hear expressed by most here concerning actions taken (banning) "over there" based on non-forum-related posts or comments in (or even the mere presence or membership in) a totally different forum or venue. If I didn't know the individuals "over there", I'd think it impossible - and even so, consider it almost beyond belief.

Hang tight. Anyone feeling at risk for MVP/MCC renewal should contact their leads or the MCC program group to discuss what if anything can be done - and the sooner the better. If anyone thinks John is going to reverse himself and/or not potentially carry it even further, then I suggest it might be best to hold that as a miracle and find out what's best to do now since I imagine the sooner the better in terms of fixing things if there is time or understanding the options ASAP in any case.

Good luck to everyone.

Kosh

Hello Kosh, thanks for the post! I am sure many members who were active "over there" and have thousands of posts that were to be used for an MvP position as reference would more than appreciate that post.

I have a question somewhat related if you have the time, or if anyone else can answer. As most of you know because I have mentioned it, or even if you don't know, I am pushing and working towards an MvP position for and from my BSOD analysis across Sysnative and Tech Support Forum. It is my prime goal and I am doing my best to reach it. I had many analysis posts (a little over 200) on Seven Forums, but I suppose that's somewhat useless now unless what's mentioned in your post can be used.

Regardless, the reason I am actually upset the most at this ordeal is because I am worried this incredibly humiliating and unfair "banned" tag from Seven Forums will limit my ability to become an MvP? Although I may not include that in my references when being nominated, etc, I'm just making sure in case other forums you're on are checked with the same username, etc.

I am up for MVP renewal October 1 and would never refuse an avenue of diplomacy as I detest collateral damage more than anything. It simply is not fair to expect (excuse the term) 3rd parties to feel they need to choose sides. We are all volunteers for God's sake.

Sysnative Forums is just under 5 months old now and no one has ever been refused membership or access to the BSOD Dump Processing Scripts, regardless of forum affiliation.

I am tempted not to post. I am quite saddened at the whole mess. I consider 7F my home, and this whole event does not live up to the high standards there. I would like to comment on a few things.

1) I saw a smear post pointed at Shyam and his app, that was totally uncalled for.

2) Stephen, I have to think you posting a thread from a private (VIP only) forum is the reason you were banned. Even if I left a forum, I would not post private information, but that is me.

3) I also would not post with an unknown user name, I post as A Guy, always.

I was very unhappy to see Mike go. I am also very unhappy to see those of you banned recently ONLY because of your membership here. I can't approve of that. I will not comment any further other than to say people are important to me, and my friends list just lost several people there. I don't plan to leave either place, nor would I think anyone would expect as much. A Guy

A Guy, I partially agree with your comments although I will mention that I have made my user name consistent. On both forums I have the user name Tekno Venus and on both forums I post my name, Stephen. I never tried to be anonymous.

The only reason I posted a copy of the thread at seven forums was actually for z3r0's benefit. There were a lot of statements being made on assumptions and I wanted to clear them up. I know now what I did was wrong and if z3r0 reads this, he may reconsider his decision to ban me. If he did, I would be very grateful because SF has always been my home. I have made some great friends and all I wanted to do was help people, never upset them.

Stephen

Edit - PDFs removed.

Stephen, that part of my message was not directed at you ;) Sorry for any misunderstanding. I edited my post. There were 3 separate things I commented on. A Guy

That's the reason why both of this forums exist right? To help people.

I'm am very sad of what happened to you in SF Stephen. Bill is right, maybe the reason of you getting banned in SF was that link you posted here.
