[SOLVED] Cannot Upgrade IE 9 to 10 or 11

Yes I want to see it. And I guess you found the file in C:\Windows\WinSxS\Manifests?

It was in C:\Windows\winsxs\Manifests, yes.

The dropbox link should have it there.

The IE11 downloaded file is also there.

Yes, it does. But it doesn't have the Internet Explorer 11 installer you are using. The reason I want it is that I'm going to open it myself to find the file I'm looking for.

It's there, thank you. And leave the other manifest file in your Dropbox as well please since I'll need it.

Sorry I didn't notice I made you upload a Internet Explorer 9 manifest file. This is the one I need:

Code:
amd64_microsoft-windows-i..explorer-deployment_31bf3856ad364e35_11.2.9600.16428_none_301e62752e193974.manifest

It should be in:

Code:
C:\Windows\WinSxS\Manifests

Sorry for the delay. I've been knocked offline for 2 days due to the Windows 10 upgrade failing on my computer and forcing me to clean reinstall everything. Follow the instructions below please.
  • Open a command prompt with Admin Rights;
  • Enter the following command dir %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages\Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*11.*.mum > %userprofile%\desktop\ie11packages.txt
  • Upload the ie11packages.txt file that will be located on your Desktop;

I received a File not found error in the command prompt itself.

The .txt file only printed the following:

Volume in drive C has no label.
Volume Serial Number is 243E-A182

Directory of C:\Windows\servicing\Packages

It means that no files with the criterias we entered were found, it's good. Follow the instructions below please.

Alright, we'll do it once more. You don't need to post the DelFix log after.

Step#1 - Purge Restore Points
1. Download Delfix from here.
2. Open the program and check only "Purge system restore" and "Create registry backup".
3. Click Run.
Note: The program will run for a few moments and then notepad will open with a log.

7. When the program opens, click the Repairs tab and click the Open Repairs button.
8. A backup of your registry will be made. After a few moments you will have many options from which you can choose.

Good Gravy! Thanks for staying with me so long on this.

I tried downloading directly from the internet, with no luck, and then I tried through Windows Update, and got Code 9C59 Windows Update encountered an unknown error and Code 3715 Windows Update encountered an unknown error. I tried to install 3 versions of IE (9,10, and 11) at once. I then tried only IE 9, and got Code 3715.

Try to install Internet Explorer 11 again, and when it fails, upload the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log and C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log files for me please.
