[SOLVED] DPC Issues that cause audio stuttering, distortion, as well as video lag

Wait, even the nvidia graphics driver? Intel graphics driver doesn't work for me and thats the only other one..

Yes remove all of the drivers in control panel.

All of the drivers will be automatically installed do not worry about them.

Also recently I`ve done guide about similar problem you might give it a try so we can be clearly sure it is a software problem.

My idea is to use some live cd/dvd for example this Link.

Create bootable media on DVD/USB and boot directly from it.

For DVD use Infra Recorder
For USB use Rufus

Please let me know if you need extra guidance for creating bootable media.

Use without installing the OS by choosing the option "try ubuntu".

Check if the same problem occur with Linux OS.

If the problem persist you will need additional sound card.

If the sound card working properly under Linux we can check what is wrong with the settings or drivers in your Windows environment.

Many thanks,
Andy

Also follow this with the NVIDIA installation.

Hi again

Tell you what, try
1) Download the most recent non-beta nVidia drivers for your card.
2) Completely uninstall the current nVidia drivers (especially the audio drivers!)
3) When installing the newest nVidia drivers from your download, make sure to choose Custom (Advanced) for the type of install (this will force the installer to include only the components that you select). Try using the checkboxes to install only the graphics driver and GeForce Experience, and uncheck the boxes for the 3D Vision Controller, 3D Vision Driver, HD Audio Driver, and the PhsyX System Software.
4) Also make sure to check the box for Perform a clean installation

Here's a screenshot example:

See if that helps at all ....

The issues stopped after I uninstalled all the nvidia drivers, as well as the nvidia software on the computer. Do I wait it out to see if the issue comes back or keep following the other directions?
For reference, the issues generally goes away and comes back, it is not consistent.

This is something with the NVIDIA drivers definitely.

Will the Windows 10 install drivers of NVIDIA if you completely remove them ?

Let`s try this scenario.

Thanks,
Andy

Tried letting windows 10 reinstall nvidia graphics (took 2 reinstalls). It didn't change anything. Also what did you mean by VGA in the 2nd post (before you edited it)?

What video drivers? I only see the Nvidia G660 driver. Intel isn't there anymore for some reason.

After the update the problem still persists, and I tried a clean boot but Microsoft's instructions were wrong or something, so when I restarted there was no audio or internet so I couldn't test if the issue was still there (it didn't let me enable audio by using admin rights)

I reinstalled nvidia, this time with only the graphics driver, no GEforce experience. Audio issues are gone after that, so I'll see how long it lasts.
Edit: came back after 5 mins.

You probably pass the step with removing the Microsoft services.

On the Services tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click to select the Hide all Microsoft servicescheck box, and then tap or click Disable all.

Now you have to go and Enable all services otherwise you will have problems.

I mean to remove the NVIDIA driver and check if the sound working fine without video drivers.

After you remove the drivers do no restart the PC simply test the sound.

It's the same without nvidia graphics drivers (did not restart).

I'll try to restart the pc now with a clean boot.

This is reminding me to issue with realtek in the past.

Can you please download this realtek driver and this NVIDIA driver.

Do the following.

Remove the existing drivers for both but do no reboot the computer.

Install only the realtek driver before restart confirm the sound works.

Reboot the computer.

After the Windows is ready install the Nvidia driver and reboot again.

This sequence was working with Laptops and Windows 7 if you do not follow the order they was bugging.

This really worth a try as obviously we are speaking about Realtek and Nvidia conflict.

Okay, can you clarify a bit on your instructions though?

Install only the realtek driver before restart confirm the sound works.

what does this mean?

Well I tried testing the sound but there was no sound or playback devices. On a side note all the other nvidia drivers reinstalled themselves, (nvidia audio, 3d vision viewer, not sure what else.) Haven't done the Nvidia setup step yet, what do?

edit: also when I restarted it still had audio issues

I guess now you have installed the realtek drivers downloaded from my previous post and the NVIDIA automatic drivers.
what is left is to remove the NVIDIA automatic drivers and decline reboot.

After removing them install the NVIDIA from my previous post and set custom installation like this ---> nVidia Install Screen.png

Reboot the computer and check if the problem occur again.
