[SOLVED] DPC Issues that cause audio stuttering, distortion, as well as video lag

No and to be honest I'd rather just have the instructions for reformatting win 10 because it seems like a lot less of a pain than fixing linux audio issues.

I'm like 80% sure it's something with the drivers and windows 10, whether it be because its GBT or MBT partitioned or something, this issue NEVER popped up for the years that I've used windows 7, and came up immediately after installing win 10. It's definitely not the power because if it was the issue wouldve been present in the past anyway.

I'm about to pass out, so if you could give me the instructions for either I'll be trying to do them when I wake up. Thanks for sticking with me this far, let's get through this...

Ok let me explain =))

The BIOS is integrated on chip on your mother board.

I believe the integrated audio on your motherboard causing this problem, that is the reason I`m telling you to disable the audio device from BIOS.

You can enter the BIOS by immediately start taping on the F2 key once the computer start.

BIOS
settings->onboard devices-> sound you can set it to disabled.

After this setting your integrated Audio will be disabled I need you to check if the computer will work normal in Windows without this device.

Many thanks,
Andy

Well this is from the NVIDIA Driver for windows.

To be honest I cannot help much with that :)

You can try to posting here .

Unfortunately you are the 4th person complaining with this VGA under Windows 10.

I believe NVIDIA mess it up this time.

Do you have the latest .etl trace log?
I'll see what I can do.
EDIT:

I've had a look through that dump file you posted, and not actually found that much.
It does look to be storage related, some kind of RAID controller I believe.

The .etl files also appear to be storage related, so I'm almost certain they're linked.

I'm really struggling to pin down the definitive cause on the dump, and trace, but from an educated guess, I think it is probably your Asmedia SATA Host Controller Driver.

I'd try updating it, or preferably removing it (if you don't use RAID).

Will I be able to do okay without RAID? Is it essential?

And, I have a kernel.etl too, if you want it. I don't know..

You can upload it, and I'll take a look if you wish.
But no, RAID is certainly not essential.
It's usually used for cloning drives where downtime is of utmost importance.

No, it doesn't look like it is.
It's still some kind of storage driver with massive DPC spikes.
I'll try and have a look tomorrow properly if I have time, I am very busy so I do apologise.

Thank you very much (:

I can also show you a list of all my drivers so you could see which storage driver it is if it is one.

You are not using RAID at all :)

Here you can check what is RAID and how can be used this is server technology used for redundancy and backup.

The last thing I could advise is to stop using Windows 10 for time been until they release fix.

Many thanks,
Andy

The strange thing is this occur from time to time with you computer, this mostly it`s a indicator for hardware issues.

Unfortunately the graph showing your hardware work fine.

I`ve seen such distortions caused from cables inside the computer I know this sound weird but can you please rearrange the cabling in the computer?

Try to pick all of the cables and be sure none of them have contact with the motherboard chips.

If you have connected front sound panel you can remove it for a test as well.

Thank you very much (:

I can also show you a list of all my drivers so you could see which storage driver it is if it is one.

A list might be useful.

Could you do one more trace, I'm curious for consistency. I'm certain it's a storage driver, but I can't find out which.

You mean xperf trace? With what boxes checked?

I will also check the cabling later.

Disk I/O, File I/O, Minifilter I/O and WDF Driver Activity might have some finds on it.

I haven't used xperf that much, so I'm still exploring options, if you don't mind.
I'll certainly try my best.
