[SOLVED] Errors in the cbs log

There are several options here. You could transfer your data from your D:\ drive to external storage so it is safe. Then you could clone your C:\ drive to your D:\ drive. Then you would remove the bad drive and boot from the new D:\ drive.

You can use the following software to do so.

WD Support

Or you could purchase a new drive and then re-install the OS from scratch and all your programs (if any were installed on the C:\ drive).

Which route do you think you want to go?

Not sure yet...I'm petrified now. LOL

I was okay with your tutorials but removing drives hasn't come up for me yet. Always had the guy downstairs do it for me but he's moved so it's all down to me now. :*)
I think I'm okay cloning and transferring it all to the D drive, but how to remove the duff one I haven't got a clue. Can I still clone it to the new drive if I buy one?

Yes you can. But I would suggest at this point is for you to post an inquiry in our Hardware forum. The experts there have much more knowledge in this than most of us here in the Windows Update forum which is what I specialize in. Especailly since it's not something you have done before. They can provide you with the best advice.

Okay will do and huge thanks for your help, all problems were fixed so it was a pity about my HDD.

I can't thank you enough for your time and patience, I really do appreciate it. :*)
