[SOLVED] Mail Contacts List Issue

I just filed a complaint with
Illinois Attorney General
Consumer Fraud Bureau
It will be interesting to see if there are any results from it.

After 3 years I can't locate how to change the master password. I can get to generate a secure password. It won't let me create my own.

I Disputed the charges for this phony service If the company won't cancel the Service Agreement. I won't be surprised if I get a call saying
I can't stop the agreement. This would also be bogus but who knows. I now have to install Malwarebytes on my wife's computer.

Yes, Chase and Bank of America. Finished up at 6:00AM today.
The name that showed up on the transactions was Batterseatech LLC
At least, this can be found. The continued concern is that it only appeared when the transactions were processed.

Chase will probably send you a new card. Keep an eye until they do.

I may just give these scammers a call and let them connect to a VirtualMachine and see what I can do. I have messed with their kind in the past, wasted about an hour of their time playing the computer illiterate.

More weird. I installed and setup Malwarebytes Premium and checked the system. No problems. Except my wife's compute no longer has the remote connection to the TP-Link Router. They send a tiny cd which I have a terrible time loading in her vertical cd reader.
When I get back I am going to try and load the cd onto Flash Drive.
Ain't computers fun

Wireless. Has worked for couple of years. TP-LINK Archer C7. As I said, her system worked fine until I installed Malwarebytes. I have the same version installed on my computer which is cabled to the router.
What would and Why would Malwarebytes disable it. Is there some setting in Malwarebytes or in windows that suddenly says no Wireless.
I hate to UnInstall Malwarebytes as I installed and bought Premium.
What other information can I supply you?

I just QUIT Malwarebytes on my wife's computer and her connection is back. What could it be???
There is a TP-LINK configure application which also is now on showing network information from the router.
I will, when I have the nerve, start Malwarebytes again and see what happens.

I took a chance and started Malwarebytes and FireFox ran fine. I could get to her mail.
I did leave the TP_Link Configuration Program running. I can make a guess that with the earlier actions which allowed the wifi connection
having this program linked to the router kept it connected when Malwarebytes was restarted.
Tomorrow I will bring up the computer the same way my wife does and see if everything is okay.

Without my help she was able to logon and start Firefox and get her yahoo mail. I was afraid they had installed something that was interferng
with it. I also thought that if they did, Malwarebytes was finding it at logon and stopping it. They talked as if they were going take some action related to the actual network. Services.msc would show what is running and how it starts. The problem is it would not identify when a service was loaded or modified. It does identify Logon As - Network Service. I will check details on each one to see if this identifies anything strange. They had access to my computer also but I am having NO issues.
Did you contact them to see what they would try and do to a Virtual Machine? With your knowledge that sounds like fun and the results can help figure out who and what they are.

Comparing mine and my wife's services.msc results I didn't find any issues. The control panel Network option looks beautiful.
I sure hope it stays that way.
Thanks again.
Stay healthy in this crisis. I see you are in Florida. You guys are really getting jerked around by this virus. Nevada is starting to go
back to a more active state.

Not yet, I am planning on it today as I am finally off work. Currently waiting on my Doctor to call me so we can get my "virtual" visit done.

Thanks for mentioning it.

We are seeing our infected numbers going way down. Of course, I am in a heavy tourist town in which was wide open all summer with the exception of a mask mandate at the beach, restaurants, bars, etc. I've witnessed a lot of people not following the mandate and there is no enforcement. Logic dictates when the masses start leaving, so will the COVID cases and they have. That's only speaking of my area and not the whole state.

With the plethora of Local, County, and State level governments, not to mention each business policy who knows what's going on where. It would be impossible to follow it with so many variables. You can drive 25 miles and get an entirely different approach in covid rules.

A very late question. If I had used "export to a CSV file" could that then have been imported? I only see from other browsers.
Are Contacts Lists automatically saved by Yahoo? I don't see an option where I could have restored my wife's list from a previous
date.

Yes, If you export to a CSV file, you could then import that file and recover your contacts. Of course, if you make any changes, add contacts or delete contacts you would need to update the CSV file by exporting and overwriting it after every change.

I'm not sure as I don't use Yahoo. I found this. Import, export, or print contacts in Yahoo Mail | Yahoo Help - SLN28070

I assume it works like Google. I use Google services personally and at work. For instance, when I logon to Gmail, from any computer or device, all my "stuff" is there instantly including my contacts. Even when I buy a new Android phone, I input my Google email and password, and all my phone contacts and email contacts are synced to my phone instantly. Again, I would hope Yahoo is similar but it may not be and is the reason your wife lost her contacts.

By the way, you are doing a great job figuring this stuff out! You're making it easy on me.

Somehow while my wife was writing e-mail she managed to bring up IMPORT WIZARD. I am going to try and find it.
Always glad to do what I can or directed to do to resolve a problem. That is what I did when I was working.
Did you try and see what they are all about?
Search on Import Wizard came up with a product. It may be tied to Firefox as it asked to import cookies and other similar items.
