I used to have a solid black wallpaper because it made it so much easier to find my icons but I don't think I could put up with an icon-less black desktop. One question: why?
Ah, the why
It probably isn't what you expect.
At first, I set it to black so I could easily find icons.
But then things got a little out of hand, and I ended up with so many icons that it was taking me longer to find the icon than it would to use alternative methods, such as start menu.
I had 493 icons. (63GB, 3,900 folders, 45,000 files), with genuinely no idea what any of it is or why I need it - but it was all important enough to put on Desktop initially, therefore I can't just delete it!
In fact, I still have that many, I have just unchecked "Show Desktop Icons".
Is that what you expected!?
