[Server2012R2Upd3 x64] WU 8007000D KB4054519

Re: [Server2012R2 x64] WU 8007000D KB4054519

Try updating and when it fails, attach CBS.log so I can get fresh status.

Updated successful. However it gives "{Registry Hive Recovered} Registry hive (file): '\SystemRoot\System32\Config\SOFTWARE' was corrupted and it has been recovered. Some data might have been lost." when ever i reboot the machine

1. Can you create another Maintenance image? If you can, please create one.
2. Please upload an updated copy of your software hive for me and provide the link to it in the PM, instructions at the link: [Server2012R2 x64] WU 8007000D KB4054519
3. Please do the following:

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
  2. Download the attached file, SFCFixScript.txt, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFixScript.txt - do not rename it.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFixScript.txt.
  5. Drag the file SFCFixScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a log should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this into your next post for me to analyse please - put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.

4. Please do not install any updates until asked to.

Hi;
i need to deliver the image in 2 days. Do you think we have ample time to solve the issue? If yes, i will inform my manager.
Also notice the issue is related to kb4054519.
Compared to the healthy server, this server is having issue to install kb4056895 which supersede kb4054519. https://support.microsoft.com/en-my/help/4056895/windows-81-update-kb4056895
Here the comparison of the past 2 monthly roll-up.

My plan is if possible to install kb4056895 to the server and than promote it to production. After promoting it, i will create new maintenance image for our troubleshooting. Problem with PVS only one maintenance version per image.

If you'd like us to assist, please follow my previous instructions + attach the EvtLogs that will appear on your Desktop after completing the SFCFix. On another note, we cannot guarantee that the issue will be resolved within 48 hours. If it is crucial that it be resolved within that time frame, you may want to resort to paid support options.
Let me know what you have decided.

Please check your Event Viewer for the error, if they are present that means that you have provided the old logs.

Re: [Server2012R2 x64] WU 8007000D KB4054519

It the new log as you can see from the date but i noticed i can only see the error if i open the log from the server. I cant see the error if i open it from laptop.

These are also dated 25.5.2017 at the latest. Something is not right here.

that a saved log located at C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Temp\1 . Every time we create a new image all event in event viewer will be clear unless it saved

Re: [Server2012R2 x64] WU 8007000D KB4054519

Go to the event viewer, right-click on the Application log and select "Save All Events As..." and save them to a file. Repeat for the System log. Then zip these and upload them.
