[SOLVED] SFC and DISM issues on Server 2019

No chance of rebooting - this server is a web service and constantly in use - but I can certainly run the scan again

If not we do have scheduled maintenance this coming Saturday to update and reboot critical servers.

Windows malware protection (and about 16 others) just started to throw the toys out with Process Hacker 2 and start deleting or quarantining those files.

SFC run once - same detected and repaired files - running again now

And do the following as well:

Step#1 - Export SideBySide
  1. Click on the Start button and in the search box, type regedit
  2. When you see regedit on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  3. When regedit opens, using the left pane, navigate to the following registry key and select it by clicking on it once.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SideBySide
  4. Once selected, click File > Export....
  5. Change the Save as type: to Registry Hive Files (.)
  6. Name this file SxS (with no file extension) and save it to your Desktop.

Once done please upload this file via Dropbox or OneDrive or SendSpace.

Can you navigate to the following registry key and take a screenshot:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SideBySide\Winners\wow64_microsoft-windows-p..inscripts.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_en-us_9c6f7f32a5c78ebf\10.0

Please right click on the right side (blank space) and select New -> Binary Value.

Give it the name : 10.0.17763.253

Now double-click the Default value and change it to 10.0.17763.253

Once done, provide me with a new screenshot to confirm.

Good job, please run SFC Scan twice.

The first time it should report that it has found corrupt files and made repairs, but the second time, it will hopefully report no integrity violations.

If it, however, still reports issues, please let me know. :-)

Both scans report no integrity violations :-)
Hope you brushed your teeth today! You deserve a big, wet, sloppy kiss!

Code:
C:\WINDOWS\system32>sfc /scannow
Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.
Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

It will be interesting to see what happens with updates now - I'll keep you posted :-)
