Speedtest

Supposed to be a gig and I am waiting on WOW to come change some things at the street and the drop to my house. I had Comcast/Xfinity since about 1996 when they first offered cable broadband in my area. I had the 350/20 speed tier and their cable package. I was paying $280.00/month. Out of hand... So, I cut the cord. netflix, Hulu, and Prime plus WOW gig internet.... $120 per month. Ka-ching..... 💰 Even at the speeds I'm getting, I have no issues whatsoever with gaming or streaming.

I'm not trying to brag but I just got the new speeds and I am excited about it. Its still new and shiny to me. Hahaha.

I've heard the question "do you really need it"? My answer is no but....... I've always been a performance junkie regardless of need. Back when I was a kid I removed the governor off my go-cart to eeek out that extra .00001 of speed. Same with my truck, I found out they have a bolt on super charger, instantly I want it....
They have a 2gig tier but it alone is $199 a month. I'm no fool either..... :)
 
That's pretty neat to have that desire for speed performance at a young age. It's like it's in your blood and it never really goes away. I always have felt that a faster Internet means you can be more productive and get ones work out faster if need be. If I could get or afford a gig tier I'd probably get it. With having Spectrum as our ISP does not offer that yet I don't believe. I pay $60-$65 a month just for 100Mbps. I will settle for that because it's fast enough for what I do anyways. 😊🤓
