Speedtest

Your download speed is insane!

Just like Geoff's.

Mine isn't too bad:

It's good and Cable lines up here are faster than the Bell company at this time.

And this for just a test:

My fibre upgrade was due on 27/7 but it's been delayed until 11/8. It's going to be a loooong wait:

On the upside, it quite often times out so I guess this is a 'good' day

Wow :eek4: Is that on a uni computer or can you hook up your own devices over gigabit? If it's the latter, you've just nominated yourself for downloading every Windows Update :p

That was my Uni accommodation, so that was on my own machine.

Sadly I'm no longer in Uni accommodation from this year so I'm "stuck" with a 70/10 connection.

However, all machines in the university get that speed, so I can still use it if we need speedy downloads. I could download a whole Windows 7 ISO in about 2 minutes :p

I had 120/90 or something in halls and thought that was pretty good :p Highest I had on campus was 600 at 3am in the library.

Might have to get you to, I have no idea how big the downloads will be.

2 separate ISPs. First is a public wifi available at my home; 2nd is our Internet that we pay for.

At home, 8 year old eMachine desktop computer, about a 12 year old DOCSIS 2 modem and an old router.
Since we don't stream, this is more than adequate for 2 senior citizens.

Ouch! I'm surprised you can even do anything with that....

I assume that's DSL - the only option?

Are you sure you aren't using a 56K modem? :smile9:
Let's hope you have some decent free hotspots near you so you can get something done without wasting lots of time trying to load pages.
