I made the bootable USB key on my mac as in the link above. Install went very well. I am still sorting through the changes. At this point, it is clear my windows 10 has been updated (it's very different from what I was using before). In fact, after installing the Windows that was on the UBS key, it did look for updates and install so the intstaller is clearly working. The only thing I may have lost were some templates I built in Excel which were stored locally and not in the cloud. Otherwise, I am very happy. I will keep in mind the hard disk is failing and be ready to replace this PC when it goes. In the meantime, that you for your help over the past 6 weeks. I certainly learned a lot.
