Re: GUIDE: CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions - Windows 8/8.1
@Squeezer:
You could try to disable it and re-try SFCFIX or the DISM command; LATER, re-enable your security suite, after the procedure finished.
Or you can find the correct version of that file from another machine (same OS, same bit), and substitute it.
Your log shows:

Re: GUIDE: CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions - Windows 8/8.1
I also have the problems discussed in the previous threads. I downloaded and ran the SFCFix.exe application and it came back with the following text that is listed in the attachment. The part of the log is attached that I could read.
Re: GUIDE: CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions - Windows 8/8.1
@Squeezer, sorry it took longer than expected but here's your fix:
SFCFix Script
Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.
Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
Save any open documents and close all open windows.
On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
SFCFix will now process the script.
Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.
Re: GUIDE: CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions - Windows 8/8.1
Hello,
I got the same Problem with Amd64\CNBJ2530.DPB" of prncacla.inf, Version = 6.3.9600.17415. I used SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip as mentioned above for this specific Version. Unfortunatelly I got an Error:

Is it possible to get a new Version of [B]SFCFix.zip [/B]that may run without error?
Thank you very much

It has come to our attention at there has been a recent explosion of people reporting corruptions with the CNBJ2530.DPB file in Windows 8 and 8.1.
This post aims to outline both how to determine whether your computer is affected and how to repair it should it be. Unfortunately, we have yet to identify the root cause for this corruption at this time but it is part of an ongoing investigation here, and we shall be sharing all of our findings with Microsoft when appropriate to lead, if at all possible, to a final resolution.
First, to confirm whether or not you are affected by a corruption of this file, please perform the following:
Press the Windows Key on your keyboard and X to open up the Power User Tasks Menu
Click (or tap) Command Prompt (admin)
When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each
sfc /scannow
Wait for this to finish before you continue (approximately 15 minutes)
This program, included as standard with all modern copies of Microsoft Windows, will first scan your system files for corruption and will then provide its analysis in a machine friendly form. We shall therefore be using another program, SFCFix (developed here at Sysnative by niemiro) to interpret this data into a more human friendly format.
Download SFCFix.exe and save this to your Desktop.
Save any open documents and close all open windows.
Double click on SFCFix.exe to open it.
Follow all on screen instructions and upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
This logfile will automatically open.
Update 30/06/2014
SFCFix has been recently updated to automatically detect and repair this corruption, making the original guide obsolete. If SFCFix has successfully repaired the corruption, the logfile will contain the following line:
Code:
AutoAnalysis::
FIXED: Performed DISM repair on file Amd64\CNBJ2530.DPB of version 6.3.9600.16384.
The version number will change depending on the version of Windows 8 you are running, but that line signifies that the issue has been successfully repaired. That's it - you're now good to go. If SFCFix reports other corruptions, then please start a thread of your own. Include your CBS folder (per the Windows Update Forum Posting Instructions) and the contents of the SFCFix.txt.
The original guide has been preserved below for reference, and the SFCFix downloads are still available.

If you see a line that looks similar to the following in your logfile (Not the exact directory name at the moment, just the portions in bold), then you are affected by this corruption. (Note: If you are running a 32bit (x86) computer then amd64_prncacla.inf will be replaced by x86_prncacla.inf)
Now you know that you have a corruption, you need to repair it. The exact repair required depends on the exact corruption.
Repair Method 1
This is the simplest repair to execute, using a built in tool in Windows 8 and 8.1 called DISM. It will automatically check for corruptions and then source the appropriate file from Microsoft servers to perform the repair. However, I have seen cases where DISM has been unable to repair this corruption, hence the reason for the second method. In addition, if you are reparing a computer with no internet connection, or want to quickly perform the repair on multiple machines at once, without waiting for DISM to scan and download files, then use the second method.
To use DISM -
Press the Windows Key on your keyboard and X to open up the Power User Tasks Menu
Click (or tap) Command Prompt (admin)
When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
Wait for this to finish before you continue (approximately 15-20 minutes)
sfc /scannow Wait for this to finish before you continue (approximately another 15 minutes)
And you are done. If you would like, you can run SFC once more. It should report back "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations." If it doesn't, start your own thread.
Repair Method 2
This is a manual repair, but can often be quicker than using the DISM tool. Use this method if DISM isn't working, you do not have an internet connection on the affected PC, or you simply wish to do it yourself.
If the log produces lines that are different to the ones mentioned above, please start a thread of your own. Include your CBS folder (per the Windows Update Forum Posting Instructions) and the contents of the SFCFix.txt.
I will repeat, the line in the log must be exactly the same as the ones mentioned above. If it's similar, do not attempt the fix, and start your own thread.
You may have seen other users uploading a Tekno_Venus folder. That is no longer necessary.
Once you have sourced the files you need, then perform the following steps:
SFCFix Script
Download SFCFix.exe and save this to your Desktop.
Download the necessary file for you corruption, titled SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop.
SFC Scan
Press the Windows Key on your keyboard and X to open up the Power User Tasks Menu
Click (or tap) Command Prompt (admin)
When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each
sfc /scannow
Wait for this to finish before you continue (approximately 15 minutes)
This should repair the corruption. If you would like, you can run SFC once more. It should report back "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations." If it doesn't, start your own thread.
I will update this thread with new line styles and fixes as I find them, as well as updates to my ongoing investigation into the problem.
If you have any questions regarding this tutorial, let me know. If you are unsure about anything, just ask!
Regards,
Stephen

Re: GUIDE: CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions - Windows 8/8.1
Hi,
This morning my Toshiba Satellite C50-A-1DV laptop would not boot, it detected a problem before starting windows 8.1 and tried to auto repair. However nothing happened. I booted in safe mode, ran CHKDSK with no errors but SFC /Scannow reported the CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf corruptions. I downloaded and ran SFCFIX successfully but I still have the same corruptions and the laptop still does not boot. Attached are the SFC details file and the SFC fix text file.
Please can you advise on how I can return my machine to nomal working order?
