[Win8/8.1] GUIDE: CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions

Re: GUIDE: CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions - Windows 8/8.1

I followed your instructions with SFCfix and received the following message -

SFCFix version 2.2.4.0 by niemiro.

I then did a further sfc/scannow and do not seem to have a corrupt file, however, does the mention of one, without naming it, in the SFCfix matter?

Very, very grateful, thank you so much.

Betty

Welcome to Sysnative!

It does not matter because SFCFix has successfully repaired it. You're good to go :)

Re: GUIDE: CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions - Windows 8/8.1

Can I ask a possibly unrelated query, but as part of the investigation into the problem I had above, I tried to do a restore, however I keep being told there are files missing and I my "windows installation or recovery media will provide these files." I only received the computer back in April after having a new hard drive installed and did make recovery discs, but they are rejected when I try to use them.
Many thanks again.

Re: GUIDE: CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions - Windows 8/8.1

Just wanted to say that this fixed my problems for me...

...I had a system image I kept re-installing...and it had no integrity violations at all UNTIL I connected to the Internet.

Now that I've fixed it with the help of SFCFix.exe, I have not had any subsequent problems.

MUCH appreciated.

Re: GUIDE: CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions - Windows 8/8.1

Stephen, I wanted to thank you for SFCFix downloads. Microsoft wanted to charge me to fix the corrupted files. I am still unable to update windows 8.1. I refreshed my HP Envy laptop about a month ago, and then updated to windows 8.1 again, and now Windows will not update. It gives me error code 8024402F. After following your steps listed above, the scan came back Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations, but I still can't update, do you have any suggestions. I have all my CMD txt if you need to look at them. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Re: GUIDE: CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions - Windows 8/8.1

I registered just to inform the ts that this solution did it for me. This took me ages to rectify this problem and I'm glad I found it here.

I had the following error after doing sfc /scannow:

PHP:

After following the procedures carefully as described by the ts, I got the following log:

Re: GUIDE: CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions - Windows 8/8.1

Hello to you all. I have just joined to specifically thank Tekno Venus and other people for arranging this fix. Even as a novice the instructions and the exe were very simple - my compliments. The problem which was annoying me no end is now fixed. All I need now is some dye for my grey hair!

Sincere Thanks To You All.

I shall enjoy reading the rest of the forum and hope to put up some posts.

Many Thanks

Re: GUIDE: CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions - Windows 8/8.1

Great tool. It saved me a lot of manual work. It worked like a charm on Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter.:thumbsup2:

Re: GUIDE: CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions - Windows 8/8.1

Like many others, apparently, I was getting the "Cannot repair file CNBJ2530.DPB in prncacla.inf" sfc /scannow error on my Win 8.1-64 bit (fully patched) system. Although that was the only error, happy to report after downloading and running sfcfix.exe the corruption was successfully repaired and the scan no longer shows any integrity violations.
Excellent tool, many thanks!

Re: GUIDE: CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions - Windows 8/8.1

Hi, I found this thread and am glad to report that the downloaded file fixed my ""Amd64\CNBJ2530.DPB" of prncacla.inf" error.

My problem was stated here, in the Microsoft Community Forum: answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-windows_update/stuck-at-restart-to-finish-installing-updates/043e76a2-6ece-4854-8b82-bc2c4cf06f4d

I ran a System File Check after using your file and it now says that "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations".

Kudos for creating this tool and making it easily and freely available to the public.

Edit: I have donated a small sum to keep this site running and hope others do so too. :)

Hi, I also had this "Amd64\CNBJ2530.DPB of prncacla.inf" problem, and I was able to fix it with your tool. BUT... Two days later I encountered the same problem again. Any idea how to solve it permanently? Thank you! Uwe

Re: GUIDE: CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions - Windows 8/8.1

Hi Guys,

Thanks a lot for this article and the fix, it worked on one of my systems and on the other one combination of few things fixed the same error (I reckon other system had few different issues).

I used this command as well DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Cheers,
Linda
