hi have you checked what i sent yet?

my PC starting to run very slow and my PC specs are amazing so it makes no sense because my computer lags now and I can't even run games normally I'm not sure why

lets say if I were to reset my PC so I could reinstall a new updated version of windows 11 as well

how can I backup all my files and logins and everything? do you know of anything like on iPhone where it backups everything and then on new phone reinstall all and logins

Please note that it takes time to investigate this issue, this problem is not common, and any help provided is voluntary while we also do have a job ourselves.

Also beware of timezone differences. I do not know where you live, and that's none of my business, but if you live in any timezone of, for example, the USA then I can tell you that I'll be long asleep when it gets evening in the USA.

What exactly do you mean with your computer starts running slowly, what do you see/notice?

my apps and browser and everything is just slow even as I type right now it lags right now I am trying to backup my PC so I can reset the computer from settings I think this will be the best option as my PC also is slow now and I don't see any other option to fixing this lags maybe I downloaded some bad stuff that slowed the computer down

what would be the best way to backup and restore everything you think?

What does task manager show (ctrl + shift + esc will open task manager) any processes taking lots of resources?

While I appreciate that you want to get this problem fixed as soon as possible, I would strongly recommend not rushing something like a reinstallation.

Performance problems like what you describe have a variety of causes, including hardware related causes. If there's an underlying hardware issue, any sort of reinstall/reset can potentially cause more harm than good. No matter how decent hardware is it can become faulty from one moment to another as many have experienced before already so we want to make sure its software related and not hardware.

okay about the task manager i have onedrive backing up my files right now so it might be causing some lags but even without it I have lags usually I don't think its cause some apps because usually I only run my browser

right now I have some apps running because I'm testing some stuff but they don't affect anything really

No need to quote the post you're responding to if it's the last one :-)

Could you provide a screenshot of task manager when there's performance issues without any heavy background tasks going?

Could you please try run the SetupDiag again from MaxStar's post

Copied his instructions here for ease

Download and run SetupDiag from Microsoft
  • Download
    60e45c659164d-SetupDiag.png
    SetupDiag to your desktop.
  • Right-click on SetupDiag.exe and select Run as administrator.
  • When completed the following files are created: "Logs.zip, SetupDiag.exe.config and SetupDiagResults.log"
  • Attach SetupDiagResults.log and Logs.zip to your next reply.

I've gone right back to the start of this thread and read through it. Your original problem, as you described it, was an inability to upgrade Windows 11 (and you're running Windows 11 Pro) to 22H2 or 23H2. Yet the error message you posted in you post #1 shows that you were trying to install Windows Server....

Just to clarify this, I found a couple other users (this one for example) where seemingly Windows Server was being installed when it was Windows 11 in reality. From what it looks like it's just the text indicating "Windows Server" when it actually is Windows 11 being installed/upgraded. A few users in the linked discussion mentioned it's really Windows 11 that's installed even though Windows Server was mentioned.
