Please do the following:

SFCFix Script (.zip)

Warning: This fix is intended for use on this particular machine. Do not use this fix on any other machine; doing so may cause damage to your Operating System. If you are not the original poster and require assistance, please start your own topic.

Download View attachment 19478 and save this file to your Desktop.
Note: Ensure this file is named SFCFix.zip. Do not rename the file.
Close all open windows.
SFCFix.exe

and SFCFix.zip

should both be present on your Desktop.
Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
SFCFix will now process the script. Upon completion, a file (SFCFix.txt) will be created on your Desktop.
Copy the contents of the file and paste in your next reply.

SFC /Scannow

Press the Windows Key

+ r on your keyboard at the same time. Type Notepad and click OK.
Copy the bold lines below and paste into the Notepad document:

sfc /scannow
timeout /t 120 /nobreak
copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\CBS.txt"
del %0
Click Format. Ensure Wordwrap is unchecked.
Click File, Save As and name the file sfcscannow.bat.
Select All Files as the Save as type. Save the file to your Desktop.
Locate sfcscannow.bat

on your Desktop. Right-click the file and click

Run as administrator.
Upon completion, a file (CBS.txt) will be created on your Desktop. Attach this file in your next reply.
Note: If the file is too large to attach, upload to a service such as Dropbox, One Drive or SendSpace and provide a direct download link in your next reply.

I ran the SFCFix as instructed. I received an error message "Compressed (zipped) Folders error. Unable to complete the operation. Access denied.

I did not run the SFC / after I ran SFCFix. Was I supposed to?

Hello,

Please delete your copy of SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
Redownload SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip. Save both files to your Desktop.

Repeat the instructions from my previous post.

Tried to download the SFCFix.zip in your post and it said it failed. Invaliid attachment specified. SFCFix.zip failed. No File.

Also, after I run this, should I then run the sfc /scannow, or should I wait until I post the results from the SFCFix.exc.

Looking much better. Please do the following as there are a couple more to repair.

Step#1 - SFCFix Script
Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop. If you still have this on your desktop from downloading previously, you don't need to re-download.
Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
Save any open documents and close all open windows.

For future reference there is a space after copy and before %windir%. You also have some of the slashes backwards. That's why it's easier to copy and paste the command. Here is what it should look like.
copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log %userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt

I tried to copy and past the copy %windir********* as listed above in the post, but I still got an error message that the
syntax was incorrect, so I had to go back into Windows, logs, cbs, cbs.log and copy and paste that to the desktop. I think

OK, so back to your issue. I've only seen your specific remaining corruption one other time. We were able to get past it but it can be tricky. I'd like to start with a chkdsk. Please do the following.

Step#1 - Initiate Chkdsk
1. Open up My Computer. You can double-click the icon on your desktop (if you have one) or Click the Start button in the lower left and click on Computer as shown below.

2. Right-click on the Disk that we are doing a chkdsk on and select Properties.

3. Click the Tools tab and click the Check now... button.

4. Ensure both options are checked and click the Start button.

5. A message box will likely come up explaining that it can't be done while it's in use. Click the Schedule disk check button.

6. Click OK to exit the properties window.
7. Reboot your machine.
8. Download ListChkdskResult.exe by SleepyDude and save it on your desktop.
9. Right-click this file and select Run as administrator (Allow if prompted)and a text file will open (and also be saved on the desktop as ListChkdskResult.txt).

Good. Now please do the following.

Step#1 - SFCFix Script
Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop. If you still have this on your desktop from downloading previously, you don't need to re-download.
Download the file below, SFCScript.txt, and save this to your Desktop.
Save any open documents and close all open windows.
On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCScript.txt.
Drag the file SFCScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
SFCFix will now process the script.
Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please
