I tried to log in under the sysnative admin account, and got a message the "User profile service failed the login."

OK, I ran the program. It did give me a box that said something about MVP and defaults, and I hit the defaults button before I had a chance to copy
the complete message.
So I checked, and it said I was logged in on the Sysnative admin profile, so I ran post # 165 above again, and here are the results.

OK, at this point I don't believe we have a way for you to upgrade your machine. I was hoping we could "trick" windows and do the upgrade but it doesn't appear that is possible. If you want Windows 10, your only option is going to be to backup your data, wipe your machine completely, copy back your data and re-install all of your programs.

I really appologize but have tried everything that I know of to get this to work.

Wow Brian. I really appreciate all of the effort you have put forth to try to resolve this. Might be a good teaching tool for your students. Any tips on backing up and reinstalling my info after I wipe the system clean. I want to keep windows on my SSD drive and all of my data and programs on the other drive. I think I'm going to try to do the upgrade again and see if maybe by chance it will do the upgrade.

No problem. I wish we could have done more. In general I would make sure that you have your important data backed up to an external hard drive. Then boot to your Windows 10 media and do a clean install to your SSD drive. I would then go into Windows and assign your other drive to be your E:\ drive. You will likley want to format this as well.

Install all programs to your E:\ drive and then you can also change some of your folders (i.e. Documents, Pictures) to your E:\ drive. I would not however move the profile directory like you have previously.

My suggestion if you would like more detailed advice is to inquire from the experts in our Windows 10 forum as they have likely done this many more times than I have. They may likely have pitfals to watch out for etc.

Again sorry I couldn't be of more help but I wish you the best of luck.
