[SOLVED] Windows 7 64 Ultimate failed to update 3 files.

Based on your log I would like to try a few other things first.

1. Can you delete the following directory? Once you delete the directory, also empty your recycle bin.
C:\$Windows.~bt

Let me know when complete.

If you are OK with this, then please do the following.

1. Plug the USB drive in to the computer.
2. Download and run the Media Creation Tool and save to your desktop. Even if you downloaded this previously, please re-do.
3. Accept the License Terms.
4. Select "Create installation media for another PC" and click Next
5. The recommended options should already be selected so just click next on the "Select language, architecture, and edition" screen.
6. Select USB flash drive and click Next.
7. Your USB drive should be detected and automatically selected.
8. Click Next to create your USB drive.

Let me know when done.

Thanks.

Double-click the drive letter that represents the thumb drive and run setup.exe from there. Attempt to upgrade the PC this way. Please let me know if you have any questions while doing this.

Darn. Looks like we will need to move the user directory to the C: drive. Let me confirm in the log first. Please zip and attach the following again.

C:\$Windows.~bt\Sources\Panther\SetupAct.log

Dropbox - setupact.7z

Also, my drive space on the C drive is now down to 6.99 GB. Apparently, all of those
windows files must now be on the drive. How do we get rid of that. Remember, we attempted to install this a number of times.
I don't know if Windows duplicates the files with each attempted install, but there sure is a lot of lost drive space.

Let's focus on getting your disk space cleaned up and then we'll try to move your user profile, etc. Please do the following.

FRST Fix
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
1. Download attached file and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
2. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
3. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
4. When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

I got an error message. ----->>> Farbar Recovery Scan Tool Stopped Working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will
close the program and let you know if a solution is available.

CLOSE

I closed the Window.

The machine did not restart during that process. Also, we changed the startup back to Normal earlier. Is that OK to run that
from that state?

Here is the modified File results
