[SOLVED] Windows error 0x80073712 not fixed

You should not be prompted for the key as long as Windows 7 is activated. Can you right-click on My Computer, select properties and see if Windows 7 says it's activated? The repair install may have deactivated it.

So you created the install on a USB drive then? When you created it did you make sure that you selected the Home version?

I've just updated Windows 10 again and all appears good.:smile9: I'll test it more thoroughly tomorrow.

Everything seems spot on. Very fast using Chrome, Firefox and even IE 11!! Seems very easy to navigate as well. Just for information all I did was download the mediatorcreator tool and double-clicked the exe file while in Windows 7. I did not use a USB or anything else. I then clicked to update the PC. For some reason I had to install it twice but it is now working very well :thumbsup2:
