[SOLVED] Windows Server 2019 - KB5031361 failing to install

Start the

  • Right-click on FRST.exe and select "Run as administrator".
  • Press the Fix button.

Follow these instructions to remove an update.
  • Open the Start menu of Windows and type the command CMD
  • When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
  • When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, then press enter.

  • Let me know if it says it was successful or you get the message: The update KB5015811 is not installed on this computer.
 
I got the message 'The update KB5015811 is not installed on this computer'. Do you want me to run wusa /uninstall in turn for all of those updates?

No, it was just a note, we can't remove them all with one fix.

1. Open a elevated command prompt and run the following command (to be sure that the COMPONENTS hive is loaded).

reg load HKLM\COMPONENTS C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\COMPONENTS
2. Open

FRST64.exe as administrator and perform a registry search for:
