Here you go :)

C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

Looks good.
Check Windows Update again and report the result.
If it fails, run sfc /scannow again and attach the zipped cbs.log to your next reply.

Here you go.

It failed to install just the Security Updates again. SFC Scan reported No Errors :)

Hi Peter,

Just the one. It was showing up 2018-12 Security Monthly as pending before (last month) & now its showing as 2019-01 is the only one pending. Although they both crashes the PC .

Capture.JPG

And , just so you know. Even if I download the security updates manually & use WUSA to install , it doesn't work :( It would say, Installed Successfully & needed a reboot. Will boot in to the point where Blue screen appears with please wait screen & then crash to "Advanced Boot Configuration" . I do see others in this forum & many other forums are having tough time installing Security updates. Typical MS !

Step 1:
  1. Click your start button and type cmd in the search box.
  2. Right-click on cmd that comes up in the search results and select Run as administrator. Answer Yes to the UAC prompt if it appears.
  3. Copy/Paste the following into the command-prompt window and hit enter.
    reg query HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate /s > 1.txt && notepad 1.txt

  4. Notepad will open showing the WU info. Copy and paste this into your next reply.

Step 2:
Download and install BlueScreenView.
  1. When the installation is finished BlueScreenView will start automatically.
  2. Select the most recent file in the list Dump File and press the keys Ctrl+A.
  3. Click File - Save Selected Items.
  4. Save the file on your desktop.
  5. Upload this file to a file-sharing site such as Filedropper or One Drive or SendSpace and just provide the download link.

Here is the Log :)
