Can you try to install it again? It seems that the CBS.log was archived during the install, so I don't have the information from the install.

One more time: uninstall the update, restart, try to install the SP1 again.

I just realized that I made you uninstall the same update almost 3 times in a row. When you uninstall it, does it gives you a success message? What is your current Windows Update setting? Automatic, so it downloads and install updates whenever they are available?

Yes, when I uninstall them, it gives me success messages and prompts to restart (all but one time). Automatic downloads and installs are on for windows update, though I've turned them off (today) because it keeps trying to install SP1 on its own.

Alright, please keep the Windows Update disabled and do not install any of them for now. Try to install the SP1 again and upload the logs if if fails. We'll see if the KB982018 keeps on coming back, and if not, if uninstalling the ones that block the install will actually allow it to go through.

Uninstall, restart, install SP1, upload logs if fails.
