[SOLVED] [WinServer2012 x64] Could not reproject corrupted file(s)

Re: [WinServer2012] Could not reproject corrupted file(s)

I don't know if it might help, while cleaning the system drive I stumbled over the attached xml file dated from 2013...

Re: [WinServer2012] Could not reproject corrupted file(s)

Thanks for the info. Can you zip and upload your entire CBS folder?

c:\windows\logs\cbs

Re: [WinServer2012] Could not reproject corrupted file(s)

I'm actually having trouble to successful execute the DISM on the VM, the files in the CBS folder are too big to upload (> 3GB). So what I did so far on the virtual machine:
1. Cleaned the CBS folder
2. sfc /scannow
3. DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

On the last step, "TiWorker.exe" occupies 100% cpu, after a while I terminated the process manually. The resulting CBS logfile can be downloaded here: Download CBS_vm.zip from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way

Re: [WinServer2012] Could not reproject corrupted file(s)

I don't think this is going to work. You would need to let DISM complete all the way through in order for me to see what I need to see in the logs. Sounds like you may not have enough space to do it.

Re: [WinServer2012] Could not reproject corrupted file(s)

I gave it another try, this time I let DISM finish, which took over a day and ended up in error 12002.
Even zipped up, the size of the CBS log file is ~1GB:
Dropbox - CBS.zip

Can you work with that or should I try something different?

Re: [WinServer2012] Could not reproject corrupted file(s)

That works! I got what I needed. You can go ahead and delete that file now since it takes up 20GB on your machine. Please do the following.

Step#1 - SFCFix Script
Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.
  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop. If you still have this on your desktop from downloading previously, you don't need to re-download.
  2. Download the file below, SFCScript.txt, and save this to your Desktop.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCScript.txt.
  5. Drag the file SFCScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please

Re: [WinServer2012] Could not reproject corrupted file(s)

Good. We need to do the following again. Hopefully it doesn't take as long to do this time.

Step#1 - DISM /RestoreHealth Scan
Warning:this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Right-click on the Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin)
  2. When command prompt opens, Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Right-click > Paste) the following command into it, then press Enter
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  3. Once it finishes, copy and paste the following into the command-prompt window and press Enter. If prompted to overwrite the existing file go ahead.
    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  4. Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Please zip/upload to this thread.
Please Note:: if the file is too big (over 7MB) to upload to your next post, please upload via a service such as Dropbox or One Drive or SendSpace and just provide the link.

Re: [WinServer2012] Could not reproject corrupted file(s)

I'm sorry for the delay, it took around two days to let DISM finish...I hope you can handle the result:
Dropbox - CBS.zip
