[SOLVED] [7SP1HP x64] kb4075211,kb4074598,kb4091290: error 80070020 reverting and fail install

I was running vipre and malwarebytes premium Neither started in a clean boot but I shut them down and am trying it.. If it does not work I can try safe mode

Were you able to determine which program was locking the file using Process Monitor? If not you may have to temporarily uninstall Vipre and Malwareybytes Premium and then try again.

I was never able to determine the program but booted from CD for recovery and went into cmd mode. I performed the command sucessfully from there. I then booted my machine and tried the update. It failed. When I tried process explorer it never told me any file that was causing the problem. I had terminated both vipre and malware bytes and the services were all stopped but until the cd boot I was unable to run the pnputil sucessfully

Please do uninstall both and try. If it doesn't work, don't re-install them yet. I want to get the update installed before you re-install.

Can you try from a Clean Boot again? If it fails, please do the following as I think there is another conflicting software.

Step#1 - FRST Scan
1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Right click to run as administrator. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
3. Please ensure you place a check mark in the Addition.txt check box at the bottom of the form before running (if not already).
4. Press Scan button.
5. It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should now be the desktop)
6. Please copy and paste log back here.
7. Another log (Addition.txt - also located in the same directory as FRST64.exe) will be generated Please also paste that along with the FRST.txt into your reply.

the windows updates that I was using all disappeared. 3 important and 2 optional appeared. what should I do since I clean booted and started windows update. I went and searched for updates and the old ones are not there.
