Careful. The first link is for windowsforum.com, not windowsforums.com. That's what was noted in the earlier post.

Note how the second link changes if you substitute windowsforum.com. Interesting.

Sorry - I should have been more careful in my phrasing!

No problem and no reason to be sorry. I see it only as the same thing I did myself and either a reading or typo thing of little consequence. But it did bring to light that two names were involved though the sales didn't work equally well.

Take care, man!

Hi, Andrea. Welcome to you as well!

Based on the complaint filed against the WindowsForums.com site for violating ICANN UDRP rules that Mike posted, I expect that all search results for the former .com site have been purged from search results.

I had no idea that the United States government had the authority to control and permit what results are displayed in search engines, what a pathetic display of freedom and blatant violation of privacy and clear censorship. And they wonder why people turn to rogue places like Limewire and Darknet.

Hi, Andrea. No, Shawn Brink is not the owner. John Fairbrother is the owner of http://designermedia.com/ which, in turn, owns the various forums.

So I wonder who it was that banned me from Seven Forums? Was it Brink,or a moderator, or was it this John Fairbrother?

Oh and when I typed in www.windowsforum.com I got taken to Windows 7 Forums .com. So that URL redirects to www.windows7forums.com-Windows 7 Forums.

But when I type in www.windowsforums.com I get a message from Google asking me if I mean www.windows7forums.org.Andrea Borman.

I don't know if the power to ban is extended to Moderators at SF. Shawn Brink is an Administrator, just not the site owner, but most certainly has the power to ban members. It could have been Brink; it could have been z3r010.

Who is Z3ro1o? Do you mean John Fairbrother, when you say Z3r010?

Yes, on most forums a moderator can ban you from the forum. But the admin can overrule a moderator and re-instate you if they want to. And so can the owner if he gets involved with the members.

But in a lot of forums, the admin is in charge of who gets banned and who doesn't. And the owner just keeps out of it in most cases. And leaves it to the admin to deal with. Andrea Borman.

z3r010, or z3r0, is John Fairbrother, owner of www.sevenforums.com. He is the owner, Shawn Brink is the other admin.

Cayden, what in heaven's name do you mean? Hostile takeovers are for the movies.

Oh,I see.

Well how I got banned was, I was posting on a thread about Windows Movie Maker 6 on Windows 7 and this member,Boohbah posted one of my You Tube videos on the thread.

He said-

Boohbah said-
Andrea I saw your video on You Tube I found it fascinating.

The video that he liked so much was about how I got threatened with a ban by Linux Mint Forums and I made a video about that. And I told in the video how horrible Linux Mint forums were to me.

And out of good manners I responded to Boohbah on the same thread.Because I thought he was complimenting me about my video.

I said- Andrea, myself, replied on the thread on Seven Forums-
Thank you for liking my video. Not all forums are like that. Some are very understanding and good.

Nothing offensive about that. But 20minutes later when I tried to log in I got the ban message.

Seven Forums ban message-
You have been banned for the following reason:
Persona non grata.
Date the ban will be lifted:never.
And I emailed Seven Forums twice but they did not even answer my emails.

True, that member was off topic by posting a link to my video on the thread. And so was I for replying to him.
But he is not banned, but I am banned.

Now I wonder if it was all a set up to get me banned. That member posting off topic and they thought I would respond. And so then I was off topic. And they did not only ban me. They deleted all of my posts as well.

And last week on Techspot Forums I found out that Poppa Bear who has written some very good tutorials on Seven Forums has been banned for life. And I feel very sorry for him.Andrea Borman.

Not at all. In the 12~ years that message boards have been around I've seen many instances where a great forum was saved because the other administrators / members / etc took control, this is obviously what needs to be done to restore these three site's honour as it's a downward spiral from here.

Cayden, no one can "take control" of his business. He is the owner of the hosting contract, the domain names and the vBulletin license.

In view of all this I wonder if Barefoot Kid, Ted, was banned also? His rep at SF disappeared shortly before he said he "was going on sabbatical" Brink responded to me he had no idea what happened nor where Ted was.

Gary, Ted chose not to display his rep even before he went on sabbatical. He didn't lose it, he just chose not to display it. His account is still active, why he is away I can't say. But his brother has relayed messages from Ted, and never any mention of any issue with 7F. A Guy

i joined here about a week ago to get some tips on how to deal with a blue screen as my friend recently had one.
i haven't been active here as there is very little activity . then this thread started
i have watched it spiral into what can only be described as pitiful.
i dont know the forums being mentioned but how it looks to me is that a small handful of people were banned from a site for rule breaking,
and they were less than happy about it ,
hence this mud slinging .
i cannot believe that the owner of this site would allow it to be used as a weapon against another site and for people to air their petty grievances .
i have seen kids stirring it up ,another site owner tipping the site into a libel/slander case
other people who seem to be very large in the communities researching and posting someone Else's business, this seems very petty.
we have other people suggesting hearsay comments made without any credibility or evidence
the whole thread here is a shambles and makes what looked like a serious professional site look like a bunch of rejects that have nothing better to do than back stab and mud sling.
its clear that despite many qualifications and microsoft awardees gathered here that geeks cant take rejection.
i would hide this thread as it shows you have dragged yourselves down to a level that is laughable to many others.

my goodness whatever next.

i doubt i will be visiting here much as its becoming embarrassing to be associated here.

to the owner of the site i feel sorry for you,
you clearly started this place out of a passion to develop , unfortunately others have come in and dragged you down ,losing your credibility as a professional site for professionals.

have a nice day

Steely Dan, I appreciate your comments however, the majority of us members who were banned from Seven Forums were not banned for breaking any of the rules. We were banned for having a membership at Sysnative and nothing more. That is why this discussion exists, we were not banned for any reason apart from having an account here.

it looked to me that you were banned for posting copies of threads from a private forum, that would be a rule break in my eyes and you only have yourself to blame , but like many others here cant accept responsibility for their own actions,
