My PC is acting very strange

Logs seem much better than before.

Here are my next comments/instructions:

1. Remove external USB drives

Just you, me and your computer. :-)

2. Do not download anything

I know you need your computer, but seeing new things on it every time I review your logs makes things difficult. That's why being here more than once helps the procedure.

3. Uninstall programs
  • Download the Revo Uninstaller (Free Download) and save it on your Desktop.
  • Double click on the exe file created on your Desktop to run the installer, and follow the instructions to install the program.
  • Double click the program's icon to open it.
  • Write in the search area, on the top left, the following program:
Code:
fullscreensavers Toolbar
  • Choose the Uninstall tab from the menu and let the program to create a Restore point.
  • Choose Scan, and then the Advanced mode scan.
  • Select all the Sophos Anti-Virus items found, Delete and Next.
  • Let the procedure be completed and click on Finish.
  • Restart the computer.
Repeat the above procedure for the following programs...

Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019 - en-us
Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019 - en-us.proof
Vegas Pro 11.0

... and for any other program is not legally activated.

Here's the fixlog.txt

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

Crystal, the above statement appears again, indicating a system's corruption. I would like you to perform an in-place upgrade now, hoping that there will be a fix.

In-place upgrade

This will reinstall and update the operating system and fix any corruptions, without removing any file or program.
  • Go to this Microsoft page and under the title Create Windows 10 installation media press on Download tool now.
  • Save the tool on your Desktop and double click to run it.
  • On the License terms page, if you accept the license terms, select Accept.
  • On the What do you want to do page, select Upgrade this PC now, and then select Next.
  • Follow the instructions and select Keep personal files and apps, when you are asked to.
  • It might take a couple of hours, depending on your wifi speed connection, to install Windows 10. Your PC will restart a few times. Make sure you don’t turn off your PC.
  • After downloading and installing, the tool will walk you through how to set up Windows 10 on your PC.

After the upgrade...

It happens sometimes.

Leave it alone and go to sleep. Hopefully the upgrade will successfully complete.

Hi, Crystal.

I would wait.

I know it's frustrating, but the other option is to do a clean re-install. I want to use every mean I have before do that.

Actually...the other way around 😅

Well, Crystal, this is too much...

I have seen computers taking up to two days to get updated but yours is the one with the biggest problem. I wish I knew how long is going to take until it gets to 100% and again, I can't be sure if the result will be successful.

It seems that we are going for a clean install of the operating system.

I have to ask you: Do you have a backup of your files in the computer?

Hello DR M!

It was going up by few percent after every 24hours....until today, as you can see in the photo.

Can i restart my pc and try it again though?

I do have my files backed up but what do you think?

Restart the computer and then:

Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update > View update history

Check if there is an error referring to the update failure and let me know.

These are the updates for the 20H2 version you are already running with.

I would like to see what is shown when you choose View Update History.

Crystal,

Go here: C:\Windows\Logs\CBS

Please attach the CBS.log
