Problem with windows update - now boots to black screen with cursor. SFC & DISM no longer work. Can't repair.

unfortunately I can't get this to work. I keep getting access denied errors.
 
Warning: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Do not run this script on another machine.
  1. Download the attachment fixlist.txt and save it to your desktop.
  2. Right-click on FRST64.exe and select "Run as administrator".
  3. Press the Fix button.
  4. The tool will now process fixlist.txt.
  5. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  6. When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
  7. Attach the logfile Fixlog.txt to your next reply.

Right-click the folder C:\Windows\system32\Driverstore\FileRepository\1394.inf_amd64_ab3552a66c5b80fd.
Select Properties.
On the tab General click the button Avanced.
Provide a screenshot of the window that appears.
 
Uncheck "Compress contents to save disk space".
Restart the machine.
Try the instructions given in message #312 again.
Report the result with a screenshot.
 
Which of the folders in C:\Windows\system32\Driverstore\FileRepository has the option "Compress contents..." checked also ?
 
Does the folder C:\Windows\system32\Driverstore has the option "Compress contents..." checked also ?
 
Click the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, then press enter.

fsutil behavior set DisableCompression 0

When completed take a screenshot of the commandprompt window and provide that screenshot.
 
Is there maybe some 3rd party software I can boot with via usb to clear this?
 
fyi just found out we have to upgrade from windows 8.1 to 10 asap, there's no longer support for the cad/cam software etc that we use and some stuff update and won't work now. Maybe I should go that route, and can you help?
