[SOLVED] Problem!!!

Hi Gary,

Thanks for the latest SFCFix.zip update, which I have applied (please see attached SFCFix.txt). Following a reboot, the SFC /scannow command went to verification 100% complete.

The DISM /restorehealth command progressed further than last time, but failed again with error 4448 at 23.6% complete:

Looking over your logs now ...

I'd also like you to do the following ....

  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
  • Please copy this file to your desktop.
  • Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
  • Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
  • The file will likely be too large to upload here so please upload to a file sharing service.
  • Examples of services to upload to are WeTransfer and TransferKit and SendFileOnline

Please post me the link to the file

Good Morning Gary,

Thanks for your message. I have created a zip of the C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS file, which is ~10MB in size. It seems to have uploaded okay to the Sysnative Forums.

Thanks for your help and support.

Thanks. There was an entry in your previous CBS.log that needed attention, the problem being we couldn't determine from the log which update it related to. Analysis of the Components file you posted has given me the answer I needed.

Looking over your latest logs now, back ASAP.
