[SOLVED] [WinServer2012] Standard WSUS Problems

I turned the WSUS service back on and told it to install updates as needed. Rebooted once again, and it's checking for updates now. I'll let it run over night and update you tomorrow, thanks a bunch for all the help so far Brian!!

Nothing, 19 hours later and still sitting at "Checking for updates..." Most recent check for updates: Never Updates were installed: Never You receive updates for: Windows only.

Thank you. I need to gather some more info. Please do the following.

1. Point your mouse to the lower left corner of your screen and hover there until the Start Screen icon appears. Then move your mouse on to the Start Screen and right-click and choose Command Prompt (Admin).
2. A User Account Control dialog may come up asking for approval. If it does go ahead and allow.
3. A command prompt window will open. Copy/Paste the following into the command-prompt and hit enter.
wmic qfe list brief /format:texttablewsys > "%USERPROFILE%\desktop\hotfix.txt"

4. After the command runs there will be a file on your desktop named hotfix.txt.
5. Please zip/attach this file.

Thanks. Please do the following.

Step#1 - SFCFix Script
Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.
  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop. If you still have this on your desktop from downloading previously, you don't need to re-download.
  2. Download the file below, SFCScript.txt, and save this to your Desktop.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCScript.txt.
  5. Drag the file SFCScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please

Reboot and then attempt to check for Windows Updates again. Let me know the results. If it goes beyond two hours then it's likely not going to work. Just let me know.

Make sure your Windows Update setting is still set to Never "check for updates". Let's try installing some more updates. This one is really interesting.

Manually download and attempt to install the following update.
