Manually Uninstalling a Windows Update

- Click Start, type Command, right click on Command Prompt (or cmd) above and select Run as administrator
- Copy and paste the following after the Command Prompt and hit Enter
wusa /uninstall /KB:2972211
- If the update is found click Yes on the Do you want to uninstall the following Windows software update? screen
- If the update is not installed click OK

Installing Windows Update Using DISM
--------------------
- Download Windows6.1-KB2972211-x64.cab.zip and save to your C: drive, as you prefer
- Unzip the file into your C: drive
- Click Start, type Command, right click on Command Prompt (or cmd) above and select Run as administrator
- Copy and paste the following after the Command Prompt, then hit Enter
dism /online /add-package /packagepath:C:\Windows6.1-KB2937610-x64.cab
dism /online /add-package /packagepath:C:\Windows6.1-KB2972211-x64.cab
- You should receive the first message but may or may not see the next 2 messages:
The operation completed successfully.
Restart Windows to complete this operation
Do you want to restart the computer now (Y/N)? (Type Y and hit Enter if present)
- If at any time an error message appears right click inside the command window, click Select All, then hit Enter to copy the information. Paste the information in your reply
- If the installation is unsuccessful please stop and provide a new CBS log
- If the above was successful please complete the next steps

Sfc /Scannow From an Elevated Command Prompt
--------------------
- Click Start, type Command, right click on Command Prompt (or cmd) above and select Run as administrator
- Type sfc /scannow, hit Enter, and allow the process to complete
- If sfc fails to run or says Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them stop here and provide the latest CBS log

- Right click on the FRST icon and select Run as administrator
- Highlight the below information then hit the Ctrl + C keys at the same time
- The information will be copied invisibly and will be "pasted" into FRST automatically when you click Fix as instructed below
