[SOLVED] First Post - Windows 7 Update Failure

Great. Check Windows Update but do not any updates.
Provide a screen of the available important updates.
 
Checked for updates and screen grab of important updates is attached.

Try to install KB4493132 only and report the result.
If it fails attach a fresh copy of the file cbs.log
 
Tried using Windows Update and got the attached error message.

I searched for KB4493132 on the Microsoft Update Catalog and did not find it.

Per Microsoft "This update enables reminders about Windows 7 end of support." so it does not sound like it's important.
 
Run ComponentsScanner:
  • Download
    61f7aba7309a1-ComponentsScanner_Icon.png
    ComponentsScanner and save it on your desktop.
    64bit: https://sysnative.com/apps/componentscollector/ComponentsScanner.exe
  • Double-click ComponentsScanner.exe and click Yes on the UAC (User Account Control) prompt which appears.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions. If prompted to perform any repairs, press Y to agree.
  • Once complete, a report will be saved to your desktop called ComponentsScanner.txt.
  • Attach that file to your next reply.
 
My apology, I thought I hit the Post button on this and forgot. The CBS file after restart this morning is attached.

I proceed with the ComponentsScanner.

There are a lot of duplicate files in the folder c:\windows\winsxs. This is a first fix to remove them.
