Speedtest

The last few results have been from my halls, I finally got round to doing a test on campus. I'm surprised the UL is so much slower, but the DL is just crazy.

That's on wireless at school... Just realized they don't have their wireless connected to the local wired connection... Different ISP all together...

You keep posting numbers like that & someone will come over there and take it. I do live in New Jersey and know "people". :lol:
 
John, do your Jersey connections know anyone across the pond? I sure could use some of Tom's connection speed.

Less than 1 mile away I could get FIOS, Real Cable internet and all sorts of other crap for less than I pay for my 5Mb service!!!!!

You've been to my place, John... That area should have all of the fixings... My nearest neighbor is 5' from me!!!! :lol
 
Seeing as universities, schools etc. have their own dedicated fibre optic line, I think I have an unfair advantage here :p That's got to be one of the fastest UK home speeds I've seen though!

This is as of this morning, around 3PM ish my time we'll be getting new equipment from my cable company.

I'll update my post to show the new speeds when he's all done. :)
 
They made some repairs to the service here today :) My DL hasn't really changed, but the UL is a good 10Mb/s faster:
