usb unable use any usb flash drive

Okay I am back with better results it took me two and a half hours to figure all the way out how to produce the results you outline for me to perform. I viewed the first command prompt as two commands instead of one long command. On my other computer i saw that the command prompt instruction was one command but on this computer the command line is two lines that looks separate. Now the deview.htm is on the desktop but sysnative say the following error ocurred devices.htm .invalid files so i hope the previous txt will suffice.

Re-try the chipset driver installation (if you removed it and need the link, it's at 30th post) with this procedure (taken from the readme file):

Decompress/unzip/Extract the chipset files in c:\chip
Open device manager
Select "Devices by connection" under the View menu.
Click on MPS Uniprocessor PC -OR- MPS Multiprocessor PC.
NOTE: Only one of the above items will be displayed for a given system.
Click on PCI bus.
Right-click on the line containing the description
PCI standard host CPU bridge
-or- PCI standard ISA bridge
-or- PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge
-or- PCI System Management Bus
-or- Standard Dual PCI IDE Controller
-or- Standard Universal PCI to USB Host Controller
(This line will be selected.)
Select Properties from the pull-down menu.
Click on the Driver tab.
Click on the Update Driver button.
Windows 7* will launch the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard. Select Browse my computer for the driver software.
Enter C:\chip in the Combo Box
Ensure that the Include Subfolders checkbox is checked
Select Next
The window Will Display the Device that was installed
Select Close
Reboot the system if prompted to do so.

Good afternoon Xilolee according to your time I cannot see mps uniprocessor pc or mps multiprocessor pc the only thing that i do see is pci bus. I extract the chipset files into a folder but the computer would not let me label it with colons or \ these types of symbols so i named the folder c chipset and it is located on my desktop. This is the best picture i could come up with to show you what I am looking at in device manager device connection

Can you see Intel(R) NM10 Family LPC Interface Controller - 27BC or Intel(R) NM10 Express Chipset ?

You could try to use those two unknown devices you show in your previous picture.

I didn't exactly understand where you extracted those files, by the way you should search drivers in that folder (when it asks you where to search drivers).

yes I see both of the above I am wondering if I am following you the right way. I believe that i extract the files from chipset but could you go over on how to do that so that I am sure that I am doing it right? i use winrar to compress files, and when I get to the browse my computer for the updates how my combo box supposed to look like with the application or file in the combo box please.

After you downloaded acer.com AO532H - Chipset Driver 9.1.1.1019 (click), I thought it should be simple for you to unzip/decompress its files in c:\chip.
Remember your c:\ drive is your system drive, where the system is installed.

By the way, if you unzipped those files in another folder, when it asks where it should search for driver software you'll insert your folder. In the following picture I show you I extracted those files in c:\chip and I'm going to search for driver software in c:\chip and in its sub-folders.

If you can see Intel(R) NM10 Family LPC Interface Controller - 27BC or Intel(R) NM10 Express Chipset in your device manager, show them to us and try to update them.. If you are unsure, show the screenshot when it asks something.

I just wanted to make sure that I was following you correctly which I were. I perform the task correctly

Xilolee I have founded those driver and updated but the unknown driver are still the same that is why i wanted to reconfirm if I was doing the tasks right.

windows was unable to install your unknown device. It appears that all the controllers are updated but the adjunct unknown devices will not update for some reason.

And if you try to search automatically for updated driver software (when you click on the Update Driver button), what's the message you get in return?

It says windows was unable to install your unknown device and windows could not find drivers software for your device.

Someone suggests you should uninstall all of your problematic devices, then shutdown windows, wait a minute, and restart.
I saw you already tried that on your first post... Hence this time you can try to do it after you started windows in safe mode:

  • Start or restart windows
  • Soon after that, press repeatedly the F8 key (on your keyboard)
  • Choose Safe Mode with Networking (or without networking), don't choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt.
  • Go to device manager and uninstall all of your problematic devices (only those five or six devices listed)
  • Shutdown windows
  • Remove battery and/or PSU
  • Wait a minute (in which you can press and hold the power button for about half minute)
  • Plug battery and/or PSU
  • Restart windows
  • Report the results...

Hey Xilolee I did the steps and still to no avail. My battery now is not being detected so I unplugged the battery and uninstall the acpi and the adapter in device manager shut down the computer and plugged the battery back in then the power adapter and now the acpi and the adapter has not reinstalled also it appears that the number of unknown devices has increased . This is weird something is stopping the devices from updating and installing.

Open windows control panel, system and security, system, advanced system settings, environment variables, under the system variable pane double-left-click the path variable and copy the following in it:

C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath;c:\windows;c:\windows\system32;c:\windows\system32\wbem;c:\windows\system32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0;c:\program files\intel;c:\program files\intel\intel matrix storage manager
Restart windows.
