[SOLVED] First Post - Windows 7 Update Failure

The CBS file in Message #939 was after a restart this morning. The windows important updates are still the same.

I'll run the SURT next. EDITED to ask how do I run the SURT?

EDITED to add a screenshot of the SURT packages available on the MSUpdateSite. Which one?

Ok.

Step 1:
Run the command sfc /scannow in an elevated commandprompt and report the result.
Copy the file C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\cbs.log to your desktop.
Zip the copied file and attach the zipped cbs.log to your next reply.

Step 2:
Follow the instructions below to run a scan with the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) and provide a log.
  1. Download SURT for your system. (Windows 7 SP1 x64)
  2. Once downloaded, execute the installer, and go through the installation (this process can take around 15-20 minutes).
  3. On completion, a log will be created in C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log.
  4. Attach this log to your next reply.
Alternatively, if these instructions are unclear for you, you can follow the tutorial below.
System Update Readiness Tool (SURT)

Step 1 - sfc /scannow screenshot and CBS files attached. I'll work on Step 2 now.

I did restart and the important updates are still the same as Message #935. It's interesting that KB4534310 is still on the list. We installed it with DISM and then I've tried to install it twice with Windows update, with all attempts showing as successful, yet it's still on the list.

Please be patient. I'm still working on the issues shown in the CheckSur log. Do NOT attempt to install any updates as that may interfere with the fixes.

Plenty of patience here . . . I'm just curious. But most importantly, I'm really appreciative of all your help with this. And I'm definitely not installing any updates unless you say so.

I'll start the image when I go to bed and run the fixes in the morning.
