[SOLVED] Missing mcf80u.dll and others!

 That bad huh? Not really I've come to love 7 and win 10 is so un user friendly.

Is there any way to install fresh Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and keep all my programs intact. I have a lot.. I mean a lot of Music recording/creating, related programs. Most requiring hours, and hours of download/ authoring time.

You can do a repair install, which would keep your personal files intact or you can upgrade to Win10 (which you don't want to do). Be sure to backup the files just in case.

I did or attempted the repair install two days ago something went wrong! It got to the end and a dialog box came up saying it failed and the screen had in small font lower right corner "this copy of windows is not genuine". Fortunately I did a system image back-up on another drive. That is what I ended up finally using to restore my windows.

Then I'd suggest your best bet is to try upgrading to Win10 and see if it goes through. If not, post back and we can troubleshoot the upgrade process, which would be the best and the quickest route, because you'd have a more modern and a more secure OS, no corruption and all your data.

Since you have a system image, you can easily restore it in case you dislike it so bad.

If I could upgrade to win 10, and keep all my data why not win 7?

You told me you tried it and the repair install failed, that's why I suggested Win10, because it's an upgrade and we can diagnose it if it fails.

1. Download the Media Creation Tool and save this to your desktop. Go ahead and run this as well. Note: Click the Download tool now button when you get to this link.
2. Accept the License Agreement
3. Download the ISO file to your desktop.
4. Double-click on the ISO and then run the setup to try and upgrade your machine.

We want to get the ISO so that you don't have to keep downloading which can take hours.

Well I actually used the upgrade option (not the custom) of the win 7 image I have on Flash drive. However I might have missed something. During the process between several of the re-boot times my monitors both came back scrambled..I couldn't make out what the process was doing of asking..I waited it out praying it would recover eventually..it did. Only said all that to say it's possible I did it wrong.

softwaremaniac,

In case I don't get the chance. I want to thank you for all your diligence, and patients with me. I so greatly appreciate it. You are top notch!.... for sure.
I'll try the upgrade tomorrow.

I got the ISO file (went to Documents), but when I double click it, it wants to burn the file not install it. I must be doing something wrong again. I thought I followed your instructions to the letter. Honestly.. the "as well" statement in step 1, confuses me.

File explorer, or windows explorer? When I right click the file I get neither option.

I have used WinRar this right so far?
