Hi,
Please find the response by executing dism. It didn't prompt for any response.
I had problems in executing the expand command. So I went into the directory c:\Windows\Temp and expanded the files manually using 7-zip.

Hi,

Sorry I have a typo on the expand command the correct is:
expand windows6.1-kb3212646-x86.msu -f:* C:\windows\temp

It seems dims worked this time. Try to install the updates and post the new CBS log after the install fails.

Hi,
I could install the update KB4103718 this time. What more, the IE11 Language Pack which was also failing repeatedly got installed successfully this time.
However, strangely, windows has again notified me to install KB4103718 and has started downloading the update by itself. Not sure of the reason. I will update you on the outcome.

Hi,
The update KB4103718 was installed successfully. On top of that, I received a notification today to install 61 important updates including KB4103718 again. All got installed successfully. Don't know why windows is looking to install the update KB4103718 repeatedly.
Any thoughts from your end? All of them are getting installed successfully as well.

Hi,

I'm checking the log, please run also the SUR tool and post the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log

Hi,

Unfortunately SURT isn't helping us to find the problem...

We need to check the registry, please execute the following:

Export Registry Hive
  • download the script ExportCBSRegistry2.cmd and save it to the Desktop
  • right-click the file ExportCBSRegistry2.cmd and select Run as administrator
  • when the script ends a new file called SoftwareCBS.zip will be located on the Desktop
  • If the zip file is too large to upload to the forum please share the file using a service like Dropbox, One Drive, Google Drive, or upload to www.sendspace.com and just provide the link for the file here

Hi,

Thanks for the registry export.

Now I need a list of installed updates...

- Please download the script WUList.cmd and save it to the Desktop
- right click on the file WUList.cmd and select Run As Administrator accept the security prompt and wait, when finished it will open Notepad with a log named WinUpdates.txt that is also saved on the Desktop
- Attach the WinUpdates.txt log to your post

Thanks for the log.

Try to force searching for updates to see if finally the update is reported as installed.

Hi,
Yes, the last few updates got installed successfully. Only issue is that I’m getting the update for KB4103718 repeatedly and every time it’s getting successfully installed. This seems strange to me. What can be the reason?
